AT 7:00 AM on the Friday before the 4th of July weekend, I looked out my second floor bathroom window to see a large sink hole where my septic tank was. I started to call septic companies and one of them was Engineered Septic & Sewer out of Essex, Ct.. Dave from Engineered Septic & Sewer was the first Company to call me back (about a half hour later at 7:30 AM). I asked him when he could get here, and he said around 10:30 AM. He showed up on time with a tank truck, drained my collapsed septic tank, ordered a new 1250 gallon plastic tank, called the Town health department to secure a permit on an emergency basis, and went to the Town Hall to file the permit. The tank was delivered that day, and Dave said I'll be back on Monday, July 5th (a holiday for most people) to put the tank in. He showed up at 8:30 on Monday, put the tank in the ground, connected the inlet piping, and arranged for the Town inspector to show up on Tuesday to approve the installation. On Tuesday, the inspector showed up at 9:00 AM, signed off on the installation, and Dave and his crew drained the old tank a second time, connected the outlet piping to the leeching field, collapsed the old tank, filled in all the holes, and graded our yard. They were cleaned up and gone by 2:00 PM. He will furnish me an engineered drawing of the installation and take care of all the paperwork with the town. He and his crew were very professional and took the time to explain the whole process and answer all our questions. I would highly recommend Engineered Septic & Sewer if you ever need any septic work done on an emergency basis or otherwise. I give them an A+.
