Kayak doesn’t actually book anything for you but they also don’t tell you that. They switch you over to whatever booking site they want & don’t ever even give you the name. I’ll never use Kayak again. Booking.com is a better option.Kayak.com Response

We spent a lot of time booking a flight on Kayak.com and found a great deal. Everything went fine and they charged our credit card. I received a text in the evening saying they couldn't honor their offer and how would we like a refund. For me this was basic contract law-offer/acceptance and we have a contract. Just annoying. Please be aware that you need to opt for a credit card refund or they will give you a useless company credit.Kayak.com Response

Can’t change email for the account and can’t delete account. To delete we are told a 6 digit verification code was sent to our email, but never arrived.I clicked resend several times. When you call their support number it’s automated. You can’t get a real person. If you notice their responses to the complaints here don’t really give real solutions and no apologies.Kayak.com Response

Horrible. DO NOT USE KAYAK. Flight was cancelled by airline and Kayak offered rebooking or refund. I opted for refund and then they told me that they had not received refund approval from airline even though Kayak offered me the option. I tried to rebook through ****** but couldn’t because the flight was still in Kayak’s system even though it was supposed to have been cancelled. I called the airline directly to cancel and rebook but they could not refund me because original flight was booked on Kayak credit card. Right now I am working through Chase to get the refund from Kayak. ****** is a million, trillion times better and I only tried Kayak because **** ****** suggested it. They canceled my returning flight without my consent. They claimed I requested a partial refund and I never did. I will suing kayak and I will not let this go. They are very unethically and unprofessional.Kayak.com Response

No stars. We rented a car through *****. It directed us through Priceline to Payless car rental. We were quoted a price that was about $200 lower than *****, a company I have been happy with in the past. I should have known it was too good to be true. It was my fault for not having printed out the quote from *****/Priceline and comparing it when we picked up the car. We had been sent an email a few days before with the itinerary, but no price. Very convenient. The guy at the Payless counter said they could give us an upgrade, but didn’t say it would cost $150 more (***** has done that in the past… given a “better car” for the same price). They should be required to say it is adding to the price originally agreed upon. Even so, what about the other $50 in fees and taxes? The original quote from *****/Priceline said it included taxes and fees. I will never be using ***** or Priceline again.Kayak.com Response

They partner with NextCar/Jet Rental/Economy Rent-a-Car at the ******* airport. They falsely claim to rent certain cars (here, a hybrid) for a price they will not honor (adding hundreds to the cost), are not in the location they claim to be (not at the airport, but offsite where you're held hostage while your family begs you to help them). It is a well-documented scam online. All of this should be shut down as illegal.Kayak.com Response

Will never use again. Booked hotel in ****** through Kayak. When I got to hotel ***** ******** not only did they have no record of my reservation, there was no vacancy. **** ******* was kind enough to give me their "minor emergency" room since all the other hotels in the area were booked. 2 phone calls and 3 weeks later still no refund on my credit card. Whoever it was I spoke to was useless in terms on information on what was going on with my refund. Their response was to "escalate this with a new ticket" or something like that. My next step might be to dispute charges on my credit card.Kayak.com Response

will never recommend them. they forward calls to some ****** ***** WEBSITE that doesnt help at all to change itenarary. all they do it " we are working on it" send email. It has been 10 days and they havent resolved the issue. American express travel did it the same day and these guys havent been able to resolve in 10 days. PATHETICKayak.com Response

I would not recommend doing business with Kayak. I went online to purchase an airline ticket. However, after I entered my debit card information to purchase the ticket, the system listed the transaction as pending. When I called the number listed on the website. The Kayak representative (Listed as bestfare) said that there was a problem with booking, and it would cost me additional $190. I requested that my ticket be cancelled, and I would purchase it directly from ******** ********* Kayak refused to cancel the airline ticket. In short, I had to have my bank place a freeze on my debit card to prevent Kayak from withdrawing funds. The bank recommended that I get a new debit card to prevent any possible transactions from Kayak. I also attempted to contact Kayak customer service. However, it will not allow you to speak with a person. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
