            I have purchased a greenhouse from Engineering Services 2 years ago and it has worked well for me. Last year I purchased an add on kit for my greenhouse (roughly $15,000). The kit came with countless parts that were included in my initial greenhouse purchase. I saved all the extra parts for a return (estimated value of $2000). When I contacted Engineering Services, they refused to take the extra parts back, saying the 30 day return window had closed. This expansion kit took over 3 months to build, so there was no way of returning the parts within 30 days. Also, these add on kits are all custom made based on the greenhouse you already have. They knew exactly what parts I already had installed, then knowingly sold me the same ones again. I would simply like to return the extra parts that I should not have been sold in the first place, but they are refusing to help me.

            My Farm Tek 32' by 80' gothic style high tunnel caved in the first winter. It had the same amount of snow as my other tunnel, about 4 inches. The other tunnel is built stouter, with two continuous perlins. When I pointed out to Farm Tek customer service when it was first built that I distrusted its engineering, I was assured it was strong and snow worthy. I had been removing snow regularly. My friend's Farm Tek tunnel caved in also. I cannot afford to replace it, and my commercial Country insurance policy won't cover snow damage. Looks like it was a waste of $20,000.

            I am very sorry to hear about your high tunnel collapsing. While our high tunnels are not engineered to every snow load, we have sold these to thousands of customers in various elements. With that being said, I would always encourage customers to monitor the snow levels and either request additional supports or take off the cover during heavy snowfall to prevent any issues. The only way to guarantee the product would be to buy a version that is engineered to your specific snow and wind load. if you would be interested in learning more about that, we would be happy to offer you a hardship discount to help offset the price of a new unit.
