I purchased 2 storm doors from **** ***** in *********** **. They sub contract out to Exterior Associates of ********** **. One of their employees came to the home to measure for the door order. Once the doors were installed July 20th there is a 1-1/2 inch gap underneath. Exterior Associates have come out twice to review. First suggested to install door sweep. When contractor came to install he said that will not solve the problem the doors are not correct. Another contractor came out and wanted to screw a board to bottom of door and told us we could paint to match the steps. We declined that. I went back to **** ***** and store manager offered me $134 credit and said I could use that money to hire another contractor to correct. I was not satisfied with that. I contacted my credit card company who investigated. I received notice from them on October 31 saying that they agreed with **** ***** on charges because Exterior Associates submitted a Home Serivces Installation Customer Approval document with a customer signature. The issue is that is not a signature from the home owner who was at the site on installation date or myself. I feel this is fraud on their part which will now cause me to pay for 2 storm doors and installation that is not satisfactory.
