      I wanted to leave a review for Ayer and Goss. It is long. They just got bought out by Dead River company. I had to close my account with them because I moved. I have to say they were the best. They always worked with me when I had to pay my bill late or in pieces. After four pm good luck talking to someone, all I could get was cryptic answers as it is their after hour answering service. In the dead of winter, I did get my heat turned off once, but it was corrected the next day. The days slipped away from me and I just forgot. I couldn't believe I forgot. I always got a very nice lady on the phone who would walk me through my options and always took care of things very quickly. Around January the bill resets to automatic, I always had it set to manual so I could pay when we had the paycheck in the bank not when it was actually due. The reasoning was because we were living paycheck to paycheck because of our apartment. We thought it was a good deal at 800 a month, boy were we wrong. When I would give them panicky upset emails they were always there to call me with a reassuring voice the very next day. I would have to say they are the best. They dont steal your money, they are always upfront and honest and are a small team in Henniker. If you get Ayer and Goss, they will always explain every detail and they will work with you if you are dealing with a house with little to no insulation. I will say that when we first moved in I thought it was odd that they needed four hundred upfront before turning on our heat but they say it is because of renters. Now I get it. We left that place as soon as we could it took us several years to dig our way out. They say 400 on average covers for the whole year for a house. A house! I am shocked. Here we were giving them four hundred for one month in the winter. I also had a two day gap when the furnaces decided to stop working in the basement and no one in the apartment building got heat. Ayer and Goss always had timely refills and their guy that came out to look over our lines was nice. He also was quiet and quick, when checking our meters, some of it was set up in the basement an old stone drippy cellar but the rest of the meters were set up on the side of the barn. Thank goodness he was quiet because most of us were second to third shift in that building and were asleep during the day. Our highest bill was close to 700 dollars for propane and another 400 for electricity with the thermostat set to 64-68 and I heard others were higher, for just one month in the winter. Last several months there, our highest bill was 27ish dollars and our lowest was 8ish dollars with those electric wood stoves going. I am happy I moved. Ayer and Goss though they got bought out sent me a check for that deposit I made at the beginning of when we moved in. I am happy to use that money for our remaining bills and sad to have to depart with Ayer and Goss. They were one of those utility companies I could trust not to screw me over with huge inflated bills, they were always honest about the bill unlike some companies. OH and they sent the bills to our email, which I thought was great because half the time we didn't get our mail but that is another story. Thank you for letting me do this review.

      They deserve 5 stars and have been really excellent. I had them from June of 2018 to June(?) of 2021, I think, pretty sure. I was sad to have to cancel my account but my new place has a different propane company.
