Mr. Curio ruined my siding installing it completely incorrectly. Has now filed a lien on my property. Will now face a lawsuit detailing these. This all because he likes to play bait and switch games. Mr. Curcio also has very poor interpersonal skills in my assessment.

      CMS Roofing Response

      09/11/2023

There are a few items that we believe need clarification to understand the full context of the situation. You contacted our company to install rough cut cypress fascia and siding on your mother's house after the initial company you contracted was unwilling to finish the project. Considering you had already purchased the siding and fascia, CMS Roofing came out to the house and provided a quote for the labor necessary to finish installing the siding and trimming out the exterior of your windows and doors. Once you approved the estimate, we began working with our team to complete the scope of work outlined in the estimate. Throughout the process, our progress was delayed several times because you had not acquired the proper amount of materials to complete the project. Despite these issues, we continued to progress through the project eventually completing 95% of the siding, fascia, and trim installation initially agreed upon. At this point, you contacted our office asking when we would begin the soffit installation. Our office staff responded informing you that the soffit installation was not included in our initial agreement and informed you that we would have to send an estimator back out to provide a new estimate for the soffit installation labor. It was at this point that you began getting confrontational and arguing that the soffit was included in our initial agreement, despite there being no explicit or implicit reference to the soffit in our contract. Because of the confrontational nature of your conversations to our office staff about this, both the owner Mike Curcio and the estimator met you at the property to discuss the issue and examine the completed work. While on site, we outlined several items that required completion from the original contract and a few items that needed to be addressed from a quality standpoint due to the rough cut material. We were fully committed to finishing these items and addressing any concerns you had to finish the project. However, after we informed you we were unwilling to complete the soffit installation free of charge, you refused to allow our technicians to finish, refused to pay the remainder of your invoice which is over $8,000, and threatened legal action. After threatening to sue CMS Roofing in relation to the soffit issue, Mike informed you that we were also willing to pursue legal action if you refused to pay the remainder of your balance. Since then, you have refused to have our technicians out to address any of the remaining items that we noted and you have failed to pay the remainder of your balance. Therefore, we sent a demand letter allowing 45 days for us to resolve the issue without further legal action. We are still more than willing to complete the remaining items from the original contract, given you pay your final invoice. We hope to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. Please reach out to Mike directly to discuss if you would like to resolve the issue.
