I had some old and damaged pictures of my Dad in the military (Korean War) and brought them to SpectraLight to see if anything could be done. One picture had crayon and pencil on it. The other photo was so cracked you could barely make it out. Well, I was so very surprised with the final product. Mark did his magic and the pictures look as if they had just been taken! I am so pleased with his work that I want to share my experience. So if you are looking for someone to repair your old or damaged photos, I highly recommend SpectraLight. Mark was amazing! I found a 60-year-old photo of my mother-in-law that had been badly damaged and he did a beautiful job restoring it. Now I can frame it with my mother's photo of the same era so my children can see both their grandmothers as young and beautiful. He was professional, friendly, extremely flexible, fast and affordable - all in one :) I will definitely recommend him to anyone for any of the services he offers.SpectraLight Photography Response

Mark did both of our sons' senior portraits, so when my oldest brother came across 26 old 8 mm reels from the 1940's that were our father's, I knew Mark would know the best way to have them processed and preserved. We didn't know what was on the reels. The choice we faced was either to have someone with expertise in processing old, brittle, partially water-damaged movies digitalize them, or toss them in the trash and never know what treasures they held. We made the right decision in having Mark handle our family memories, now saved for us to enjoy, and pass along to future generations. These old movies held gems of our then young parents, and us as babies and small children. They are irreplaceable, and I'm so happy we made the right choice in saving them. Mark took great care in handling our reels, and I had a USB drive and CD a week before I expected them. They were a little more challenging than most based on their poor condition but the final result was well worth the effort. I was thrilled to find Mark at SpectraLight!! I had an old (34 years) single viewer from an amusement park - the viewer held a photo that was very special to my family. Mark took care in using that small photo and creating some prints for us that will allow us to frame the memory! Marc at SpectraLight was excellent. he communicated well, setting our expectations, discussed what was possible and confirming in an email and phone exchange what exactly we wanted. My husband used to be a photographer, and both he & I were blown away by the artistry and expertise of SpectralLight I gave them an extremely faded photo and a chalk and pencil drawing from 1860s. Now have the detailed photo (can see the faces, costumes, dresses background like it was done yesterday) With Marc' professional input the pencil faces have become the focus in a studio photo. We recently had our family portrait taken in our home and are thrilled with how it turned out. Everyone was relaxed in our own environment and Mark's sense of humor made the session a lot of fun. Now that we have our wall portrait displayed in our family room, we get a lot of compliments from family and friends.
