Horrible !! Anticipating moving our account away from them. Real Estate transaction delayed, due to lack of communication in a asset transfer/sale that was started 3 weeks ago. Kept sending an email to my husband and not the asset company for a correction to an invoice. Multiple calls and emails no resolve as yet, and I went up the ladder to mgt. They only know very well how to charge their fees for ZERO service. And, the person handling the real estate transaction left the company and no other person followed up, didn't find this out until I made a phone call and was told "they never heard of the person who had contacted me on the process side. I've had an IRA acct with ET for 12 years. The fees have been incrementally increasing although I have not made any transactions (deposits, withdrawals or transfers) in that entire time. Because I was going to "shop around" for a depository company that may charge less, I found that there are not many companies that do this, all of them have multiple complaints, and perhaps the fee I pay is not over the top? After reading the complaints, my fear is that I may get trapped in a fee quagmire from either the transferring company, the receiving company, or both. I agree that the customer service could be better, especially when they are talking with customers that fear a bit about another company housing their (often times) life savings. I wish it could be taking care of your life savings as opposed to "housing" it. That said, let's hope they get better at that, lower their storage fee, and lets also hope they can acquire an A+ BBB rating-why they don't yet is concerning.Equity Trust Company Response

My husband requested a full transfer of funds “in kind” on March 19. Later Equity Trust said they needed further information. ****** ******* ****, who had submitted the initial paperwork, contacted Equity Trust on March 25 and resolved any issues. Equity Trust still has not transferred the funds. It’s April 9. When ** spoke with Equity Trust today, they were told that all is in order but they've been busy because of tax season. What kind of amateur organization is this? We still have no promise date of the fund transfer.Review from Jack L

Your company is causing me and my wife stress beyond any imagination. Your company is impossible to talk to has NEVER ONCE answered a phone . Your company does Not return messages left. Your company refused to help with a simple RMD, Hartford had to help and they screwed it up also Now I face having to withdraw all my funds from both accounts as the only way I can see to solve problem. I see your company is horrible at this based on TEN PAGES OF COMPLAINTS ON THE BBB. Had I know your company would be handling in this manner I would never done thisReview from Ted K

Stay far away from Equity Trust. They have the worst customer service of any financial services company I've every dealt with. Since you can never get through on the phone, I've emailed for help on correcting an asset in my account several times over the last 3 months and had zero response.Equity Trust Company Response

I’ve reached out to Equity Trust Company 3/11/2024 to clarify why I received an invoice for metals storage in the amount of $150.00 due by 3/27/2024. The metals storage was for coins that I liquidated with ******* ******* since 12/28/2023 which is still under process's until now. Equity Trust has transferred the coins over to be liquidated for cash since 1/24/2024 and ******* ******* has been holding this for 60 business days and they can’t explain the logistics of their process. Both these companies are shady with their transactions. Equity Trust Company will not waived the metal storage fees because according to the representative it is handled by “******** **********” which he has no contact number and they set the fees annually each December. So from December until January while they were transferring to liquidate my metals or coins; I still have to pay this $150.00. He stated that he can not pro rate or waive the fee even though I paid for the storage fee last year on 3/13/2023. What kind of business doesn’t have a contact number that sets these rules and fees? Obviously, they don’t want to deal with customer questions or complaints! It is hard enough to reach or to speak to someone that can actually help with these two companies. Be warned with ******* *******; I invested gold and silver coins and my money sure depreciated in just 20 months even though gold and silver are on the rise.Equity Trust Company Response

Horrible Customer Service, I have been using this Company for over 10 years, and have never been LET DOWN in the manner on my Last Transaction. I reached out to a Team member, she acknowledged my Request, but then she went Out Sick, for 3 days, My Transaction DID NOT FUND, and I almost Lost the Deal!! what blew me away, is that this Large Leading Edge Company, that I have relied on for many years does NOT have in place a System that assures that a Task in the QUE gets Completed, regardless if ONE person misses work for 3 Days In A Row.!! how can there NOT be a System that Alerts a Supv / Mgr that a Critical, Time Sensitive Task [ signing a DEED for the Sale Of] Does Not get Completed!!?? I am still awaiting a Response from Management!! WOW, JUST WOW!!!!!Equity Trust Company Response

initially, I had conducted my investments, with another American Hartford Gold representative and was disappointed with his service. Mr. Jamie *****, Director of Compliance contact me, He was professional, informative and efficient. He took over my account and informed me he was going to be My representative.
