Urgent Safety Concerns at TA Baltimore South 151 Dear Better Business Bureau, I am filing this review to report critical safety issues I faced at TA Baltimore South 151 on 4/17/2024. As a professional female truck driver, I encountered severe threats to my personal safety, which necessitate immediate attention. Incident Overview: Unsafe Conditions: The women’s restroom closure forced me to use an alternative restroom downstairs next to the showers, where I was followed all the way to the bathroom and then waited on by a man exhibiting extremely odd and uncomfortable behavior. Verbal Assault: I was verbally harassed with malicious intent by an individual at the plaza. Inadequate Security Response: Despite multiple attempts to seek help from the staff and request security, my concerns were dismissed, and no assistance was provided. Direct Threat to Personal Safety: The most alarming incident involved another individual who followed me, issuing a direct threat to my life. This confrontation started in front of the store, then in the store and then occurred in broad daylight, in the parking lot, as he followed me to my truck, shouting direct threats of violence and bodily harm. Impact on Well-being: The emotional distress caused by these events has been significant. The lack of security and proper response from the staff has left me feeling vulnerable and unprotected. Call for Action: I urge the management of TA Baltimore South 151 to: Implement clear signage regarding the nearby correctional facility. Ensure restrooms are safe and provide privacy. Train staff to respond with empathy and urgency to security concerns. Establish a visible and proactive security presence to deter threats and assist patrons in distress. I trust that the Better Business Bureau will take my report seriously and prompt the necessary changes to prevent such incidents from happening to anyone else. I would highly advise to take your long term business elsewhere. As of 3/27/24 the current manager displays rude attitude towards customers and last night I caught her bad mouthing truck drivers who are the lifeblood of the establishment. This behavior is unacceptable to me and plenty others. I have traveled all over the country and this place so far in a million miles of driving I felt the need to leave a bad review. These major corporations feel like they are too big to fail and are unwilling to make things right with the customer.

I have visited this site 3 times every week for 2 years now. Even the owner wanted to argue with me on ******* I think the Kingston Springs location in TN, needs a major audit done in the middle of the night while no one expects it. Rude manager, unchecked bathrooms, fuel pump is so filthy you get residue all over you and all over your shoes. I also don't know if you're aware but my biggest complaint is I pulled in with a double trailer at 11 pm on 3/23/24, and went in the store to make purchases, I caught the manager openly smarting off truck drivers with the maintenance man. Maybe the camera feed should be reviewed as suggested. I would also like to add that I did not inconvenience any other customer with any of my actions and my stay did not exceed 15 minutes. I also suggest that when your parking is full that you treat all customers the same as you did me and run them out of the fuel island and run them out of the store because your lot is full. As of currently, I do not accept your generic scripted reply. I would like this resolved right here on the BBB so nothing can be swept under the rug. For a manager to behave this way, (Especially to me a long term loyal customer, 11 year active duty veteran) is completely unacceptable. This is a big deal to me because I am being forced to use this truck stop because it is where I'm mandated by law to take my 30 minute D.O.T. break. I will not be returning to the store and I will continue to record your premises.

After an PM service oil change my truck stopped starting right at service center. After that they called a tow truck and took my truck to the ************ dealer. The mechanics did not install the filters correctly and damaged the system. This was confirmed by the dealer. I waited a month and paid almost $6000 for the repair. I need the claim department contacts but TA is not answering me!

TA/Petro is the worst of the big three truckstop chains. They have the highest prices. Dirtiest facilities. And there is ALWAYS ALWAYS several pumps not working. Our company used to fuel there but after so many complaints from drivers they finally switched. I would say it's just a matter of time before we see TA/PETRO'S demise. I'm mean it's ALWAYS......absolutely always some ******** with them. Like pumps but working. Or *** *** * *** ***** ******* ******* ******* ***** *** ***** * better I'm glad we switched??????

I have recently at 70 years old had to go back to driving I am so disappointed to see the greed from these major truck stops and believe me TAs certainly is not a cherry. But to charge $22 a night for parking and transitioning 90% of thier spots to reserve parking is nothing more than GREED, its never cost them anything in the past for trucks to park for free plus they are going to make money in other areas, I can understand the cost of supplies and products going up and having to charge more for showers and other services but parking, other than maybe a clean up crew, but if you look at the trash around most truck stops especially at the one I am at tonight in chandler nc it cost nothing for us to park . Just really sad and discourages me from spending any .only in the store even so much as a cup of coffee, never less a shower I will just wait and drive to one of my companies location to shower.

WORST SERVICE EVER! WILL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER TA EVER! Came in to get an oil change, signed in and pulled the truck in. The employee named Nate a young kid about 20 years old, lifted the hood from my truck walked to the office comes back says they don't have the filter for my Freightliner Cascadia. I said ok I'll go elsewhere get it done. While walking toward my truck the Nate was walking with me so he can open the bay door. I said my gladhandle was kind of hard to put on sometimes and was asking if they sell new gladhandles and if so how much are they? At that point we was already standing next to my truck so he takes of one of the gladhandles and says "hmm... I don't know" let go back to the office to see how much the gladhandles are. Walked in to find out the price and they wanted an arm and a leg for the gladhandles so I told them I'll pass on it and started walking out. They stopped me and said well you haven't paid yet... so I looked at the employee confused! I asked what do I need to pay for? After all they haven't done anything so what am I being charged for and what do I have to pay for? They told me I had to pay close to $80 because the employee took of my gladhandle and looked at it. WHAT!?! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? They haven't done anything for me but yet they wanted to charge me $80.00 for nothing. I asked for a manager and one just happen to stand there and all he asked is well did Nate create a work order. I said well yes for the oil change but you haven't changed the oil because you don't have the filter in stock. He said if Nate created a work order you have to pay. I told them that that was a sack of bs because they have not done anything and charged me $80.00. So I had to pay $80.00 for nothing. After paying walked back to my truck my hood was still open and my gladhandles ware not connected so and when i told the employee about it he told me to get out of his shop. I had to close the hood and reconnect the gladhandles my self. TERRIBLE BUSNESS!

Please don’t go to hillsboro, Texas Petro truckstop they charge me $705 dollars for simple air line the can be change in one hour.They check my truck in at 12 noon and finish him 6pm

If I can give this travel center of America, zero stars I would and the reason for it is the customer service is bare, minimum and borderline disrespectful. Stephanie the manager looks at you with the disdain like you’re bothering her. The bathrooms are filthy, horrible and smelly. The toilet seats are full of feces. When I went to make a payment with EBT I was sent to the back at the fuel desk, and Stephanie just stared at me for seven minutes before even acknowledging me, she was on her phone call the entire time to make matters worse their food is expired. The front desk lady was nice enough to point it out to me, and when I went to get a different item, every single item in the front was expired, they are selling, expired items and from a health standpoint, that is unacceptable , the staff here are very unprofessional unwelcoming, and it makes me as a driver not ever want to come to another travel center of America again I hope that one of the owners can take a look at this and make any type of communication with their employees and their managers and rectify this issue This is unacceptable. You cannot run a business like this unhygienic unhealthy, dirty bathrooms to unprofessional unwelcoming employees and managers to having expired food items and selling the public items that can potentially harm them is the least professional thing I have seen in a long time.

Unsatisfactory response I posted a yelp review and I picked the exact location in Rosenberg Texas and they want me to call them instead of telling me the corrections that they will do to better customer satisfaction

The TA in Slidell, LA parking attendant needs more training. I stopped at this TA and shut down for the night. I paid for reserved parking around 12 noon. As i laid in my bed around 4 p.m. a black man parking attendant came knocking on my door real hard saying that i need to go pay for my parking. I told him that I already paid and he stated are you sure what is your truck number? I told him my truck number and we both looked at his sheet and my truck number was listed. I also showed him proof / receipt that was sent to my email. He claim that they had me listed in a different truck but I have proof that i am driving a white international truck and that's stated on my receipt. He needs to be disciplined the way he was banging on my door for no reason. That was so embarrassing and uncalled for. Please, send this review to the TA main office because something needs to be done about his kind of treatment.

I would not recommend this business to anyone .The TA in Corning. CA. called me a homeless person who needed to leave the building..I was told also that only Truckers were welcome there..Mind you, i had only stopped there to try to charge my phone before I made the 2 hr. Drive home.
