Hello, Within weeks of taking ownership of our new home I noticed flying insects all throughout my home. The bugs were everywhere, especially in the sun room. They were found in every room, window sill and even in the heating duck work. We contacted an exterminator and he came out and got a sample of the bug and let me know they were fungus gnats. He said there was nothing you could do to kill them, no poison ,no traps. He informed us that the gnats were from damp wood our builder used to construct our house. We contacted our builder's contractor and he said they would eventually go away after a hot summer drying out the wood. They are still in my house. We have been patient and have used yellow fly traps to try to catch them. Mr. P********** and his brother did come by our house once and we showed them the bugs and they said it was because of all the dead ones in the window sill. (we left them there so they could see our problem) They ordered a cleaning company to clean the sills. We still have them. Parkview keeps telling us this is not under warranty. I can understand that if we created the problem but this problem was here before we moved in. We have video of a home being contructed behind us with all the wood framing being exposed to a severe thunderstorm. No action was taken to protect the wood. Yet, a home across the street being built at the same time had every window covered throughout the whole building process. It shows me that the standards were not met on the building of our home and the one behind us. I truly feel this is a problem Parkview should handle . We are victims of their lack of properly protecting our framing.
