Disappointed with the level of professionalism and expertise. Based on the recommendation of a local resident I utilized the services of Arco Comfort Air. Frankly, I am surprised that they are still in business. I explained my displeasure to the receptionist who said, "I am sorry, you know that your AC unit is old". The receptionist did not allow me to speak to a licensed technician nor with someone who had the authority to make an adjustment to my payment due their initial misdiagnosis. Initially, the service technician stated that a OEM Condenser Fan Motor was needed. I accepted his recommendation and he installed the Motor. I informed the company the following day, that the air conditioning unit was still not cooling and requested that they return to correct the problem. Upon returning a new technician gave a totally different diagnosis. The initial technician said I needed an OEM Condenser Fan Motor to solve the problem. This was at a cost of $974.00. I obviously did not need the fan motor as it did not resolve the problem. The second technician said that refrigerant was need; this cost $306.01. With the refrigerant, the unit is cooling. I will definitely not use this company in the future and will certainly not recommend them to anyone. ** ******Arco Comfort Air, LLC Response

In respsonse to the company's request as to what they can do to make it right, I am requesting a refund of the $974.00 that I paid for the OE Condenser Fan Motor that was misdiagnosed by the Company's first technician who was sent to the property to diagnose and repair the unit. I am, therefore, requesting a full refund of the $974.00 for their misdiagnosis. I look forward to your reply.Review from Charles C

Worst costumer service ever!! Called them on July 5th because our A/C quit working and it was 86 degrees outside, I did receive a call back from Brian ****** that evening and was told they couldn't get out that evening but could make it the next day, Told him that would be fine and he said someone would call me 1st thing in the morning to let me know what time. The next morning I waited till about 9am and called them, talked to a lady and she said since it was going to be like 90 degrees today and we had no A/C that it was and emergency and scheduling would be calling me right back to get someone out to check it, Again no call after 2 hours so called them again and got a different lady, but she said the same thing, so after another 2 hours called and asked if I could talk to someone else or scheduling and was told they would have to call me back I couldn't just be connected with them. Arco is the ones who we purchased from and even got the extended service contract from and yet they cannot even take the time to be bothered with our A/C not working on the very hot days, it was very humid and in the house it was like 84 degrees and here it is July 8th and still not able to get them to do anything or even call me back Please save yourself the issues in the future and stay away from this company and find one that truly puts their customers 1stArco Comfort Air, LLC Response

It's December 9, 2021 and my furnace was not working. I called Arco in Solon, Ohio and scheduled someone to come to my home to inspect the problem. Your service person examined the furnace and stated that we needed a new furnace due to a cracked heat exchanger. I was in complete shock as we had the furnace serviced 8 months ago, and the motor was replaced at that time (April 2021 - 8 months ago)! Arco’s service person insisted that the furnace could not be repaired at all and must be replaced. He further stated that someone from the office would call me in the morning and offer an 84-month payment plan. I paid $89 for the Arco serviceman left my home. I paid $89 for a service that I did not receive--an honest examination of my unit! My conversation with Arco’s service left me very confused and suspicious so I scheduled two reputable HVAC companies to inspect the furnace. Both companies were equally shocked to discover that Arco stated that we had a cracked heat exchanger, and needed to replace the furnace! Both companies stated that I definitely did not have a cracked heat exchanger and did NOT need to replace the unit! Both companies state that the inducer motor, fan belt and housing needs to be replaced! I am very disappointed with this experience! I trusted ARCO to be truthful with me, and this did not happen. I can’t trust you. What disturbed me more than anything is that Arco used bogus and reprehensible tactics in an attempt to charge us for a product that we didn't need. This behavior is unacceptable and illegal. Ethical companies would never push products that provide large profit margins for the company by lying and deceiving the customer. It's completely unacceptable! CUSTOMERS, please beware! UPDATE: I spoke with a manager at ARCO and he stated that their service person was inexperienced and a recent graduate. At any rate, the responsibility is that of ARCO. All service/repair personnel represent ARCO. If they are inexperienced and untrained, it’s YOUR fault. Don’t dispatch repairmen out to customers if they are not trained to properly and honestly diagnose the issue(s), and articulate the information to your most valued asset—your customers!Arco Comfort Air, LLC Response

Once again (new year, new platform), we extend our apologies for your disappointment but we will not apologize for a mis-diagnosis that we were more than happy to make right but you refused the opportunity. We will not apologize for having a couple technicians newer to the field either, not sure where you come from but you do not come out of school knowing it all and never making mistakes,....we are human, we all have the same goal; take care of the customer, so at this point you're insinuating we run around doing this all the time and that is now, slanderous. Let me assure you and everyone else, if that was the case we would not be in business serving more than 2000 happy service maintenance plan customers & daily new customers across most of Northeast Ohio. Have a Blessed New Year!Customer Response

REPLY TO ARCO: I'm shocked that you won't apologize for a misdiagnosis which would have cost $4500 for a new unit that I didn't need! You stated that you only apologize for my disappointment in your misdiagnosis. You only chose to "make it right" after I told you that another company examined the furnace and stated that I didn't need to replace the furnace. Had I not gotten a second opinion, I would have paid you for a unit that I didn't need. How then could I trust you to make it right? Lastly, I never insinuated that you run around doing this sort of thing all the time--I simply stated how you handled MY particular situation. I don't insinuate, I state facts. As a professional company, your customer service leaves much to be desired. Statements like, "I don't know where you come from..." serve no purpose at all. Your comments come across as defensive, offensive and very unprofessional.
