Overview

The Gallia County Council on Aging, Inc., (GCCOA) provides programs and services to adults over 60 in Gallia County.  GCCOA serves as the designated agency for Adult Protective Services in Gallia County, working closely with the Probate Judge and county Prosecutor.  The organization offers home delivered and congregate meals five days a week, in addition to its Meals While You Heal program which provides two weeks of lunches following a hospital stay.  Through Homecare Services, GCCOA assists clients with personal hygiene, cooking, grocery shopping, housekeeping, socialization, and nursing visits.  Adult Day Services offers enhancements to quality-of-life, and provides needed socialization, in a secure, structured environment.  Transportation services are offered to seniors, giving them the ability to go shopping, to medical appointments, and for prescription pick-up, as well as bringing seniors to and from the GCCOA center.
