AWFUL MOVING COMPANY. My wife and I hired this company to move from our home of 20 years to a new build less than a mile away. The showed up on time, however one of the movers showed up wearing flip flops and completely ill prepared to move furniture. The movers struggled to move basic items, including a standard dresser whereas the movers caused the edge of the dresser to puncture a hole in the ceiling. The movers managed to break the dressers wood leg from its post and put it back like we wouldnt notice it. The movers attempted to move a massage chair through a doorway causing it to become wedged and stuck. After realizing the chair was stuck, the movers continued to push it through causing damage to the side panels. The level of incompetence was staggering. After arriving at the new house, the movers managed to drop furniture and cause a tear in the new flooring and scratch and chip several corners of the new walls and paint. After this nightmare of a move was over, I filed a claim with their claims department for the damages their movers caused. Eko Movers caused over $1500.00 dollars of damages to my property for which they reluctantly reimbursed me $192.00 stating they only pay 60 cents per pound (based on the weight of the damaged property). Very friendly and super helpful with both of our moves. They promptly kept me updated and were super flexible with all of our unforeseen changes. The movers did anything we asked and were so friendly. No damage after 5 weeks in their storage. I’d highly recommend this reliable moving company for all your needs.Review from Darrin E

Worst company ever dealt with. Movers dropped my brand new refrigerator dented it all up, messed my dry wall up. Movers say no worries insured they even call their hr **** say no problem insured. The insurance company that Ive sent pictures, receipts and then they just wait like a month send something else I have to pay to join to send something else they want. Wont fix if messed furniture up. Trust me save the hassle get someone else not worth it.This company d as ***** ***Review from Benner-Bailey

I am a ************* Navy Veteran. I have moved from ********** to **********, ********** back to **********, ********** to ********, and ******** to *****. This time was a small scale move. We packed our own house and moved from approximately **** sq ft to **** sq ft. Most of the furniture and big things were moved to the garage to minimize the expense as well as footprints in the home. Upon arrival, the driver parked but couldn't lower the lift gate so he moved and adjusted the truck several times. We lived in a small ************************************************ and out, this should have not even been an issue but we understand that not everyone gets it right. Immediately upon lower the gate the driver starts screaming and Marquese and ******** the two workers. I mean screaming like a toddler about how stupid they are and about who is from what streets and what that means in the "hood." I mean it was HORRID screaming.These events took up at least 45 minutes of the paid time in which I eventually paid for come the time to pay! This move should have been made easy-its a packed home, 85% next to the door to be loaded and 2.7 miles of driving to the new home where they will unload the property in to another garage. SIMPLE.Not only did it take them 3 hours to load the truck in which they used a lift loader to load every single item, but they ripped two **************** couches that are approximately 12 weeks old, broke a coffee tables legs off, and we still haven't located any of the ** cords. However, they did s**** some loose screws back in an entry table, AFTER THEY BROKE A LEG COMPLETELY OFF! This isn't even the worst part, nothing was covered while moving so I have pictures of our new couches soaked in sweat from them moving them inside the house against our requests. The total price for a move 2.7 miles cost $737. **** the drive stated that if the remaining estimated hours were not used we would be refunded, however he made sure to start moving furniture in the house in order to eat up the 2 additional hours that we did not want to pay for. I was in communication with "*****," the owner who not only offered NO resolution but also promised that a claims form would be forwarded within 24 hours and now a week has passed and I have yet to see it or hear of any refund. We were quoted approximately 2.5 hrs of work and about $500. The service and business is subpar and highly disappointing. DO NOT USE!!! The most unprofessional business practices i've ever dealt with in 20 years of moving.Review from Ramesh kumar N

Stay away from this company if you want them to give you a last minute cancellation surprise. My local move was booked a month back with them and they called me exactly an hour before the planned move and canceled it. They neither have proper planning nor a back up plan and they never respond to your calls or emails upon cancellation. I have asked them to share the cancellation policy which I did not receive yet. I wonder if they have any cancellation policy. They hold my advance deposit for a month and till now I am waiting for them to return that with proper justification. It was totally a mental trauma as our leases was ending on the same day of our move. DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY, STAY AWAY FRPM THEM!!!EkoMovers Response

We understand your frustration and fully apologize. We, like all businesses in the services industry are getting overwhelmed by staffing issues due to covid. We will never let any of our crew go to a job when they have a fever or other symptoms that can put our customers and other crew in danger of their health. Your deposit has been fully refunded.
