Hired them for a bathroom remodel. The contractor that came said he'd be done in 1 week. Now soon to be going on week 5. All tile work he did was horrible and had to be ripped up and 1 week gone. He got fired. Brought in someone else who said he worked 9-3 (due to pacemaker). He has maybe worked 3 days of 4 hours each. He said it'd take him 3 days for tile. He's now on day 4 and still has half of the floor to finish and then needs to grout. He still needs to finish painting walls, putting tile around tub, floor, paint and install baseboard then put in all fixtures. I was to have carpet installed 3 weeks ago and have moved installation twice. He says he's working the weekend to get finished by Thanksgiving then doesn't show on Sunday. Going into week 5 and doesn't look good. I asked for tile receipts from the owner for tiles I paid for and never received them so I went to the tile store and got copies. After I complained to "corporate" I then received emails of my receipts. Never got a response from Corporate so that says a lot about the company as a whole. I have yet to receive invoices of what I have paid the company for the labor. I would never recommend this company to anybody.

I was over 2000 characters over the limit, so I need to sum up. Bottom line... a contracted 3-5 day job turned into a five week nightmare that took away our deck, backyard, driveway, and garage. By being forced to pay for additional labor, additional lumber and materials, and waste removal, it all added up to us having to pay an additional $5,000 over the original estimate. And what did we end up with? A brand new deck that is okay. It's definitely strong and sturdy and will last for decades, but there are a few boards and spindles that aren't level. It's a matter of aesthetic looks. We now have to live with seeing these crooked areas of the deck. I guess it's just an eternal reminder of the disaster we had to deal with in choosing Handyman Connection for our deck repair. Not only were we lied to, but we were made to feel like the ones lying. This company pulled a bait and switch scam job on us and I strongly advise that NOBODY use their services.

They installed a vinyl privacy fence for me. Took them just over 2 months to install. Sub-contracted the job to workers who obviously didn't know what they were doing. Mis-set 14-15 posts and had to pull them/replace them the proper distance. Reset the posts using some type of foam, after they told me all the posts would be set in concrete. Mis-dug another 10-15 holes and had to re-dig them. Quite a few gaps in the fence panels because of improper posts settings. Knocked over a dogwood tree in my yard with a bobcat and knocked a chunk out of a rock wall in my driveway. And like others posting here I feel like they over-charged by a lot. I will NEVER use this company again. Gave one star rating, but they don't deserve that.

If I could, I would give minius. This business is a scheme. They don't have any employee that performe jobs; they sub-contract all jobs to other handymen. So, no supervisions, no quality control; if you have remodeling, it means no coodination. Very poor workmanship. Don't hire them.

This is for Handyman Connection on **************************************************************************************** ***********************. The carpenter that she sent lacks skills. He is in a Big hurry to complete the job and lacks Care. He stripped out two threaded holes for the outlets and switches. He told me that I used the incorrect electrical boxes. However, Metal electrical are code for the basement. He cut on some boxes too big of an opening and now I have oversize plug and switch covers which he provided. They look odd. All he had to do was cut the size of the box and then use a round file to clear the holes in the boxes. Also, he cut free hand with oscillating saw free hand around the closets with a Bifold door. He did not ask me If I was a goign to install trim around that door. He complained that the door was there. The door could have come off if he desired. But now I must install some type of molding around that door. I also must install and oversized outside corner piece to cover a free hand miss cut. He even knock off my shade on my 4 ft florescent light. He said it was already broken. Yes, there was tape on the one end. But if they did not knock it off, it would still be on the light. Handyman Connection of ******** owes me a new wrap for my light or replace the light. He blamed all the problems on me. He also argued with he son most of the time. When he came to site the job, He did not check if the floor was level or if the walls were straight and plumb. Earlier I did not have a problem with their plumber. However, I could not recommend this ********* to even set a concrete form. I would have to recheck it for lever and square and size. I guess it all depends who they send. and what needs done.
