Hired AW to repair our wooden front porch deck and the lattice work underneath (about 3 months ago). Requested to have the hinged access to beneath the porch be placed on the driveway side of the porch. Requested to have the same type of lattice work used, small openings rather than the cheaper large size. These things took several conversations with AW to get an agreement. We had stored quite a bit of good lumber under the porch which we planned to use on another home project. While cleaning the porch, I mentioned to my husband that the hinged access would not close properly. When he checked it out, he realized that the access was on the opposite side of the porch and not next to the driveway as he had requested. My husband noticed piles of the old wood removed from the porch (many pieces with nails still sticking out) still under the porch. My 70 year old husband crawled under the porch to remove some of the smaller pieces and then realized all of our good lumber was missing! We had placed these boards under the porch for safekeeping and had them by the driveway side, where the original access was located. Now, we will have to purchase new lumber for our smaller project and are left with garbage boards under our porch. This company installed the hinged access on the wrong side, did not clean up afterwards, and we believe they removed our good lumber. (They were the ONLY ones that were under the porch and our lumber was there when they started the job). We, unfortunately, trusted them to provide professional service and we are quite disappointed. I will be contacting AW to inform them of this complaint and hope to rectify this situation.
