While still under warranty, the Bosch branded junction box for our 800 series dishwasher caught fire. Not only did the box burn up, but the electrical short damaged our dishwasher. We had technicians out to our home ???????? ??????????, and eventually it was deemed unrepairable by Boschs own repairmen.***** then informed us they considered it an installation problem, and would not honor the warranty. Please search Bosch dishwasher fire on the internet, and you will find these boxes are catching fire on a reoccurring basis everywhere. Bosch also refused to communicate to us by email in an obvious measure to not leave a paper trail for this. This product could literally kill you.

When you buy a premium product you expect superior service, or at least service on par with other vendors. You don't expect no service at all.I purchased a Bosch dishwasher and a three year extended warranty a few weeks ago from Lowes. The item was delivered and then installed. It leaked...not from the installation, but from a manufacturer's fault in bowels of the machine. Unfortunately, it arrived on a Friday and was installed on a Saturday. We tried it out late on Sunday and realized it was leaking, so we called Lowes early Monday.Their response was astounding, "it's over 48 hours so you can't return it and we suggest you call Bosch" . I did and their response was, "Call Lowes, they will fix it". So I did. They pointed us to the Lowes extended warranty hotline because "the extended warranty kicks in from day one". So I called them and got "No, the warranty kicks in after three years, come back then".So I called Bosch. Their response was "Lowes is responsible, they will find a local repair dealer for you". So I called Lowes again. Their response was "Bosch is the manufacturer, we just sold it to you". So I called Bosch who referred me to a local dealer: ******************************************************. I called. Their response says more about Bosch and their dealer network than anything else. The response was "we don't support Bosch machines unless we sold it to you".As you can imagine, at this point I am ready to take the dishwasher to a very high cliff and throw it. But I persisted.I called Bosch again and relayed the response from their dealer. So they gave me another dealer who gave me the same response. So I called Bosch yet again. Their support person told me that they would contact our local support manager to find a dealer. That was two weeks ago and I am still waiting.

Bosch warranty is horrific. We had a microwave break while under warranty and the technician has visited us 7 times in 9 months and has been unable to fix it. Literally comical how incompetent they are. Do not believe their warranty, it is totally worthless. Bosch *****, buy elsewhere.
