Been waiting 3 days for ****** (slow acting insulin), it was supposed to be ready today, but when I called to check I was told it was back ordered. They did not call to see if I could get a prescription for another brand, they don't care.Not having insulin can kill you or send you to the emergency room. I went to a Community Walgreens in SA on *************************. My prescription records obviously state, from doctor directions, that it is a 30 day prescription. However the pharmacy INSISTS that it is 42 days and refuses to give me my prescription before then, in spite of me telling them that my doctor said it was 30 days. This pharmacy also has a slew of poor practices that make things difficult to no end. I request a refill, it says it will be ready on a certain day but its not, they leave a voicmail under a Chinese name just to make me call them back without saying why, ** finally able to call them back and ask what the heck is going on and lady takes forever to say anything before saying I can come get it, 2 minutes after we hang up she calls back to tell me she won't give me my prescription because it is "too soon" when in fact it was already a week later than I should have gotten it. When I ask for a refill, I could wait weeks and they would never do anything about it, they force me to call them just so I can tell them to do their job, then I have to drive an hour to go pick it up during very limited weekday hours. I don't have a normal 9 to 5 job but im up nights at least half the time and a pharmacy that isn't even open after a normal person gets off of work is just ridiculous, it forces people to take off work JUST to get a prescription from them, in my case it is just encouraging me to drive a total of 2 hours while I'm already falling asleep. No thanks!Only went to that specific location because the clinic I go to has financial assistance, but ONLY if I go to this location - but people from this clinic have been spouting off lies left and right, saying this clinic was faster and easier than most when in fact it is the absolute WORST one I've EVER been to.Review from David R

Any store considered a pharmacy should have the pharmacy at the entrance of the store. Sick and handicapped people should not be forced to walk through the store to pick up prescriptions. The only reason this is done is to entice customers to buy other products so the big chains can make more money! Our lawmakers should address this issue. We all should be aware and make a change to this greedy process!Review from Pamela J

The worst pharmacy I drove 3 times to pick up med . 1st I was told give the 1hr 1/2 then I went back I was told come back 2hr 1/2 then I called before I went then I was told they didn't have the med. I will ***** ding a new pharmacy ******* walgreens is terribleReview from Jennifer M

Walgreens-I hope they close and let CVS stay ahead. The Walgreens where I am starts a loud door slam when Im shopping. An employee runs to a back or side room and makes an automatic door noise. When its a gentle, drug store they try to target to extremes so that theres local violence. Because they dont sell guns like ******* or the sports stores, they try to use wimps and gentle people to target each other. The headquarters does not supervise the bad, chaotic stores.Review from Lillian B

Absolutely Horrible! If there was an ***** for rudeness and imcompetence they would win in a landslide. There is one pharmacist and one woman who works behind the counter who are wonderful but after that you are really on your on.The incident that made me finally leave was I recieved a phone call from Walgreens that a prescription was ready. I went to pick it up and was told that there was nothing for me. I asked why I recieved a phone call and the woman behind the counter just looked at me and said nothing. When I asked her to look in the filled prescription bin she refused to do so saying "it says here that there is nothing here for you". I said could you please just look maybe someone didn't update the computer. She absolutely refused to do so-the bin was about 4 feet away. I told her I was having all my prescriptions transfered and she said "You always say that". True, but I am lazy. This last encounter finally pushed me to act and I have gone to another pharmacy and had everything transfered. Why did this have to happen. By the way when I went to the other pharmacy they asked which Walgreens and they told me I was the fourth person today that asked to have their prescriptions transfered. That is just one Pharmacy so I wonder how many transfers were requested at other pharmacies. Who needs to be upset about picking up a prescription and this is one of many times I have left upset. Also I was told by the pharmacy that I am having everything transfered to that when Walgreens knows they are calling about a transfere Walgreens either hangs up or puts them on hold - one time for 2 hours! I went in to pickup my prescription and the young lady working that day stated that the doctor I went to do not accept ********* I said excuse me I dont have ******** and I would know first hand if my doctor takes ******** or not , which I dont have. She was rude unprofessional and have bad customer service. I made a complaint to ********************** corporate office and it was still not handled properly so I refuse to buy or ever deal with Walgreens anymore.Review from Nicole H

I never wait less than 45 minutes on a prescription here and I usually dont complain. I work in healthcare and I understand things can get backed up. However, today I am having trouble breathing. I waited 4 hours, called for an update and they said it would be another hour. I explained that I am having trouble breathing and I cant wait that long, Ive already been having trouble breathing for 4 hours while Ive been waiting. The woman at the pharmacy just said, It will be ready in an hour. Do you want to pick it up today? I again tried to instill the urgency as breathing is, you know, important in order to continue living, and shes just like, It will be ready in an hour. I just hung up the phone, they clearly dont give a hoot.Review from Cynthia P

I placed an order through this horrible app on Friday 4/12/24 prior to the store opening. I called Walgreens **************** number when I notice that the charge was applied to my bank account several times. I was told that this was an IT issue and that the funds should be returned to my account the next morning. I am a single mother on a single income so this was really stressful for me. I called back the next day and was told that I would receive my funds on Monday since this occurred on Friday. This was different then what I was told yesterday and was extremely frustrating. I called back on Tuesday after still not being refunded my $80+ on Monday as promised and was told that it may not be refunded until Thursday but that she will put in an escalation ticket. I then asked for them to close my walgreens account because this is highly unacceptable, the app is a nightmare, and customers service reps has consistently provided false information. I may receive my refund on my next payday. This was a really hard week for me and it is extremely frustrating that Walgreens caused it to be so, and could simply care less.Review from Bonnie M

My doctor called in a scrip because I ran out of pills before my refill arrived by mail. The pharmacist/manager said that it was too early to refill but understood the need for the interim scrip for five doses. She said she would make an exception this one time. And she told me to come to the pharmacy after 30 min. I waited 30 min then drove to the pharmacy with my husband. We waited at the drive though window for 15 min with just one car ahead of us the whole time. Upon getting to the window and asking for my scrip, the clerk said I didnt have a scrip that was ready for pick up. I asked to talk to ******** the pharmacist that I had spoke to directly, my husband bearing witness to my conversation with her and the fiasco when I got there. She didnt come to the window, and got on the microphone that she did not tell me to come to the pharmacy and that she would not refill my prescription. I had my doctor call into another pharmacy and had the scrip within 20 min. The worst part of this story is that ******** would not come to the window to talk with me directly. Then lied to me to just get me off the phone that shed fill it and come in 30 min. She said maybe I had talked to the call center, though I called the pharmacy directly, first talked to ****** who told my ******** was the pharmacist on duty. The service was awful. Frustration beyond words! I will NEVER go to this pharmacy again!
