      As a previous consumer of this insurance carrier. This is a scheme and is targeting the elderly and disabled by using Colonial Penn commercials but being under the guise of Bankers Life. A company, that at one time use to have a great reputation. But these policies offered by Bankers are much more expensive than the 9.99 offered in their commercial a commercial aimed to get an audience of older adults. When they call you on the phone they will say. We have ************* products but when they offer the product during contract signing they switch the product offered with a Bankers product which is far more expensive. The client loses the policy and their money in months. It is a Bait and switch, with a twist. I called n found out they have two plans opened under my social and my card is still being charged today after I already canceled my plans and deleted my information. I called to speak to a manager the representative hung up on me and told he's not letting me speak to a manger. I got another representative and they said the manager would call back nobody ever called.

      We were told that our policy was going up for 2024 so they gave us different options. We chose a new company in October of 23 and were told that we could start the new plan Dec 1. The new plan cost less so we decided to do that. When we asked if we had to do anything to cancel the current policy we were told "No, that will happen automatically, because you can't have 2 policies! Well that info was incorrect because no one cancelled the policy and we they automatically took the money out of my bank account for December so I ended up paying 2 different companies. I cancelled it as of 1/1/24, I have been trying to get reimbursed for 8 months with no help from our agent in *******, ** or the company itself. We showed proof of payment as requested and kept getting denied. Finally someone at the company told us that the payments were billed at the end of the month not the beginning so we were only entitled to December's payment not *********, and then finally today after speaking with maybe the 6th agent they informed me that they paid claims back in December. OK, well now I see why they didn't refund me if they paid claims but I have wasted so much time in the past 8 months and if my agent just looked into it back in February when I asked him too, this all could have been figured out without wasting so much of my time. I am very disappointed in the lack of customer care by my agent and thank god I realized they were double charging me when they did since my agent didn't properly cancel my policy in the first place. How many other senior citizens out there are getting double charged without knowing?

      I did a review and it was taken down in less than an hour I was lied to put off 3 months and then the claims **** found a way to s**** me out of my policy Don't Trust Them.

      This company is the worst. They came in my house under false pretense. They lied several times to me and pressured me into signing a contract, that I didn't want to sign. After several phone calls they finally send me my money back. They are scruples, going after older people who they ******* into signing a contract.

      I am approaching 65 years old in a week. About 3 months ago *********************** and **** came to my home to help me get signed up for ********* at least that is what I thought. They also had me sign up for a new life insurance policy with Bankers Life. They convinced me to cancel my life insurance policy with Nationwide. We discussed the ******** Plan but not really in detail. After she left, she called back and asked me to reverse the payout for my Nationwide life insurance policy just in case my application for Bankers Life Insurance does not go through. I called Nationwide and asked them to reverse the cancellation of the policy, thank goodness I was able to reverse it. A few days later I received the letter from Bankers Life Insurance, declining my application for life insurance. As time went by, I did not hear from Ms. ***** The first of July I started getting a little concerned that I had not heard anything from ********. I called ******** and spoke to someone there and they confirmed that there was no application in the system for me for ********. I gave them my info and I received my ******** Card and some important information about my coverage. It dawned on me that Ms. **** did not come to my residence to help me enroll in ******** but only to sell me a Bankers Life Insurance Policy. Bankers Life has rubbed me the wrong way. I have no trust in them and their practices. I received a phone call today from **** with Bankers Life, wanting to come to my home and sit down with me to go over the supplemental insurance for ********. I told him I did not need him to come to my home, when I can call ******** myself and ask questions and get informed. I feel as if they are preying on elderly folks and that's just unethical. I still work a full-time job and I don't plan on retiring for another 3 years. I hope the next person reads this will be aware of life changing situations that can hinder the rest of your life.

We have Colonial Penn products but when they offer the product during contract signing they switch the product offered with a Bankers product which is far more expensive. The client loses the policy and their money in months. It is a Bait and switch, with a twist. They also bombarded people with harassing sales calls. Even if a person is on the *** list. The agents are encouraged to call anyway. I cancelled my long standing policy with AAA to go with Bankers life because I trusted the agents. Bad mistake. I lost my policy with Bankers because it got too expensive. But I feel like I was bamboozled because when the agents come with their sales spill because they came to my home. I felt compelled to switch.

      Do not do business with this company. They cold called my wife and got her to agree to meeting with the agent. (Cold calling is illegal in the state of ***********). Once he met with us, he was trying to sell us life insurance and long term care (which I found out from a real insurance agent is so expensive that hardly anyone has long term care ins). We had originally just wanted advice on navigating ********* After the agent talked with my wife, he showed up at our house, unannounced, a week before our scheduled meeting and for some reason tried to get me to to agree to a meeting again but since I had talked to my wife earlier I told the agent that we were going with another company. Little did I know it was the same company. And after we looked up Bankers Life online and saw all the bad reviews we felt like our only option was to text the agent and inform him we no longer wanted to go through with the application process. (The application process was not final yet) He called us trying to find out why and kept trying now to scare us into going with his company. We finally told him we were going to hang up on him and asked him to take all of our information out of his computer. All I can say is BUYER BEWARE.

      I am highly disappointed with the lack of professionalism and efficiency displayed by ******'s Life when it comes to reimbursing my mother for her long-term care at an assisted living facility. Despite my mother paying into her policy for over 15 years, we have consistently struggled to receive timely reimbursements. It is unacceptable that we must constantly follow up and provide proof of residency multiple times, only to be met with delays and excuses from Banker's Life. This has caused unnecessary stress and financial strain on my family when my mother needs the most funds. I will not hesitate to warn others about the poor service and communication from ******'s Life, and I urge anyone considering their services to proceed with caution.

      Talked into a supplement policy asked to have it canceled the agent did not cancel after she says she did. No one will answer the phone at the local office not return my calls. Did not have a policy number but the main customer service finally canceled the policy after I was told by the agent it was. Now I have to wait over 30 days for my refund after waiting 30 days to get it after the agent told me it was canceled. Not very happy with this at all.
