On July 29, 2023, I visited this hospital for a mammogram. Several days before I got there, and when I made the appointment, I REPEATEDLY asked whether they took ****************** and who would be the on-staff doctor/physician who would be handling the mammogram to make sure it was in network. The radiology representative who took down all the information for my appointment said that ALL of the doctors there take ******** and it was considered in network. However, when I got a bill from Ambetter, the doctor who looked over my radiology results is based in another state (either ********* or Michigan). It was incredibly irresponsible of the representative who took down my information to tell me everyone was covered under Ambetter only for me to be stuck with an out-of-network bill. ******** denied the out-of-network doctor because of the address. I immediately canceled the follow-up appointment until this billing issue was resolved. I even emailed St. Francis on Oct. 16 at 12:18 p.m. to resolve this issue after receiving an email from ********************************* (******) on Oct 16, 2023 at 11:16?AM. And after more than a month of waiting for them to send a CORRECT bill to Ambetter with an in-network mailing address for this same doctor, they have not. But they keep sending me bills from this Precision link that is asking me to enter my email address and birthday in order to access it. I'm NEVER going to enter my private information into a random link I don't know. They can send me a paper bill EXPLAINING why I was charged for a doctor that should've been in network and what the bill was for. But just randomly entering my private account information is never going to happen. I have removed myself from their online platform after they tried to charge me for something that should be in network. Their radiology department needs to explain this charge to me so I can explain it to Ambetter to pay it if it's legitimate. Do not call me. The number is purposely outdated.
