      Its too bad that you cant leave negative star ratings because 1 star isnt low enough. My issue is the lack of decorum and respect for debtors who are being called to request payment. I received a call from a collector in the middle of my workday. After the collector informed me of the amount of the debt and who it was for, I politely asked if she could email me something that said all of that so that I could address it at a more convenient time (I was WORKING). She said, Were not allowed to send emails. Because Ive worked for financial institutions who outsource certain tasks, I understood where she was coming from.Is there a letter that you can mail me, then, I asked. In a snarky tone, she said, WE ALREADY HAVE. That was the end of the call because I dont tolerate disrespect, no matter who does it. The next thing she heard was the dial tone.I dont care what youre collecting debts for, or how much they are, you treat everyone with respect as if your grandmother were on the other line. I hope she doesnt talk to hers that way, but nowadays, I dont know. Maybe she does. What I DO know is that these types of interactions dont get the results that RMS is looking for. Its counterintuitive to talk down and be unprofessional if you expect debtors to take action (other than hanging up and receiving bad reviews). RMS: Teach your debt collectors to have some decorum and learn how to talk to people. They may owe a debt, but at the end of the day, theyre humans just like your employees calling them. Im sure they have debts as well, and would hate to be spoken to so curtly. Time for another round of TRAINING!
