I have never had such a horrible experience with a dealer in my life. They misrepresented the amount of sales tax in the City of *******, they misrepresented the cost of transferring the existing plates to the new car, and they played fast and loose with trying to shove protection plans down my throat to make up for the huge discounts that they were supposedly putting on the vehicle.This is their modus operandi, and it seems that all the sales managers are in collusion. Even though they agreed upon removal of both protection plans and corrected all the other figures (berified by the salesman), when I went in to finalize the transaction, they put $995 back on. Thankfully, I'm smart enough to know when I need to walk away. So they lost the transaction, and I found an amazing dealership in Countryside- consider Ettleson Hyundai.Review from Enrique R

I had been corresponding via e-mail and text with this dealership about a car that I was interested in. The first thing of course, is the car available? I was told right up until an hour before I arrived that the car was still available. I had made an appointment for a test drive for 6:30pm. I drove over an hour to get to the dealership, and upon arriving they asked me who I had the appointment with, and when I told them they sent me down with a different person . This person wanted to acquire all my financial information before they showed me the car after sitting at his desk for 20 minutes he says, let me pull up the car, leaves me sitting there goes into the office, where I could see he and several other men chatting laughing. He comes back and says tells me with all transparency. the car was sold the prior Saturday. WHAT??? I explained to him and wanted to show him the correspondence. The appointment that I had with the other sales person. He said oh let me at least get you into another car, then wanted to sell me a car that had a bad Carfax. He said, please let me at least show it to you its clean. He runs off to get the car and leaves me sitting there again I got up and left.. In my opinion, this was more than a mistake. It was entrapment, and to say the least bad business. I would think twice about doing business with an underhanded dealership. It also forces you to give one star I wouldnt give any.Review from Scott S

BAIT AND SWITCH ALERT!If I could award minus star(s) I would. As a former customer, I went, by appointment, in Fri before New years and test drove the new car I was interested in. Not having my wife with me, I couldnt absolutely commit until she saw the car. But I let it be known that I would be back on Sat. To finalize a purchase. Even as late as 7:15 pm communication continued that I would be back at 12:30p the next day. I was even supplied,Sat AM, with a detailed description of the car I wanted. After arriving at the dealership, I waited 45 min before I was in touch with ***********. It was only after I spoke with ***************** by phone did someone start to help me. They brought out a car that was similar enough to what I wanted that I didnt realize until I was told it wasnt the car I was interested in and tried to sell to me for a lot more than I anticipated. What a waste of time resulting in a loss of all confidence in McGrath as a whole.Review from Janet U

The worst ever here and the corporate offices,they are no help and they need to be sued on all levels .I got a bad motor and had to figure it out myself and then finally went in and so I decided to deal with corporate which is worse,they do nothing to compensate their customers and I recommend never buy a HyundaiReview from Darin F

If I could give zero stars I would. The worst service department. *** is the service manager. I never had a service rep or received a call for two full months. They also did not address the issues I had with the vehicle.Review from julie b

I made an appointment for their Regional Premium Maintenace Package for $100.92. You can go to their website (if they take it down after this review, I have screenshots) and see what services are offered with this package. I got to my 11:45 appt at 11:35 and while waiting, outside of my car, patiently, to be helped, the woman behind the counter said to me, very rudely, get back in your car. Fast forward 15 minutes, three other people come into the shop and get helped before me, and then 45 minutes after I arrived they take my car. Fast forward to FIVE hours later, I go up to the service desk to ask where my car was and what was going on. I Need to leave. They take me over to my service person where I ask her what did they do? What needs to be fixed? I get told nothing and they send me on my way after paying $125 for a tire rotation and oil change.Fast forward a few weeks later, my car STILL smells like burning oil and I have no idea why. I thought they might have spilled some oil so it was just burning off, but it's too long for that to keep happening. I call them to inquire and the "service supervisor" tells me I DECLINED all of their recommendations. I NEVER recieved any reccos! I left asking what they did, what was wrong, should I do anything. Nothing. Nothing. I lost my temper with this attitude person and hung up. 15 minutes later, they call me back and call me a B**** It was from OAK PARK Hyundai. I guess the idiot on the other end doesn't realize that every number he calls from is registered to McGrath Hyundai. My husband goes to investigate my car. The service guys never took off my engine cover to actually inspect what they were supposed to on the package deal, there's a bunch of leaves in my car they spilled oil on and it's a miracle my car didn't start on fire. This place lies and has the RUDEST service people working. I want my money back.Review from Alexus W

Terrible experience, I dont recommend. Got a car from them last august. 2 weeks after having the car it stopped on me while driving. Called to set up an appointment & was told the didnt have any. I explained my **************** said I could bring it in the next day. I get ************ tell me that I would have to leave my ******* told them I couldnt because I had to work. Asked if they had loners & of course they didnt. So we set up an appointment for me to bring it back. But before that the car stopped on me again. Found out wasnt any oil in my car. Take it back to McGrath for them to finally tell me I didnt have any oil after my services which I already knew but I shouldnt be having any more trouble but I did. I have not had this car for a year & just found out 3 days ago that I would need a new engine! So now Im stuck with a car with a bad a** ************* say they cant do anything about it. Cant leave it there to get fixed because they never have loners. The accommodations they have for there customers are nonexistent. Dont spend your money with them.
