Forget any previous posts I might have left, that was before I realized Zeigler didn't give me a second key (fob). That was back in early January, and I still don't have a second fob that does what it is supposed to. They asked me to come in several times promising a new fob, and it was a complete waste of time. I was patient at first, but as the excuses piled up and the staff didn't seem to care, I grew tired of all the drama centered around a key fob. At first the key was on the salesman's desk. Then they needed to program one so I had to come back. Then the internet was down so I came back again. Then they decided they needed to order a new fob from *****, which must have come on a very slow boat. When it finally came they couldn't program it because of a glitch in the programing. They said they were aware of it (still had me come in anyway)and hopefully the glitch would be corrected soon, but they had no idea when. Then a manager, *****, was supposed to call me with a plan and never did. I texted ***********, ****, and told him I never received a call and never heard from him or *****. All because they can't provide me with a second working fob. Would you trust a dealership to repair your car if they can't fix a problem this small? Did I mention I paid cash for the car, and also had to remind them I still hadn't received the paperwork on the warrantee? Received that about six weeks late. I suppose I should have known better. I did thorough research on the car I wanted, if I had research the reviews on Zeigler I never would have gone there. The reviews from the BBB were terrible. Also yelp. My advice, drive on by Zeiglers. There's a lot of places that sell cars.

Worst car buying experience ever. We had our eye on a Jeep Rubicon (sticker price $44,250), We looked it over and test drove it- everything checked out. We're trading in a 2014 RAM **** in great shape; all of our resources (the usual: *******, KBB) predicted a 14K trade-in value, of course, slightly more on the private market. We also were ready to put $5K down to reduce our financing needs. Our goal was less than $500/mo payments going forward, definitely 75 months or less. First figures offered to us (in print):$9000 for our trade-in sticker price for Jeep: $44,250 Umm, well sell the Ram **** on our own for 14K and come back to talk about the Jeep. Not many specifics, but told wed get 11K for the truck, but not more, because it might need parts. We agreed to up our cash down payment to $6000 so we could get the monthly payments closer to the $500 we were looking at. Again, not many specifics on where we were with the trade-in, financing, etc, but we headed on to what we thought was the financing guy, a different office space. 3 hours later, were pretty worn down. On to the actual financing guy, he put 50+ pages of paperwork in front of us to sign, and early on tried to sell us yet another extended warranty (side note, would not take NO for an answer). Friendly during the sales pitch, totally shut down when we said (for the 3rd time) that we weren't interested. No more nice guy, after that, he didn't even explain what we were signing, and we were SO tired at this point! (BTW, what we were signing was the actual financing picture - the last 5 pages of the stack)Upon review of what our final financing was (which wasn't clarified with us at the dealership):$10,500 trade-in ($3500 less than what it should have been, and the original sales guy said $11K)$6500 cash down payment (the extra $500 was a total surprise at the end)Sticker price on the Jeep went from $44,250 to $47,720 in the final numbers, not discussed with us prior to signing.

Zero stars. I've never felt so unwelcomed. I applied for a loan for people with challenging credit. According to my emails from ***, I was approved. When talking to ******** made it clear that I did not want to drive that far if I was going to be denied. He stated I was approved and that the banking rep was going to be there specifically with my approval. Well just as I suspected, I went in and was given the run around. The person *** was no where to be found, the bank rep was not a bank rep at all but just a finance person for the dealer, and I had no approval at all. I was sent home empty handed being told I would get a call when I was approved. I never received a call back. I had to call back a few days later only to be told they could not approve me at all. I didn't even get an option for a co-signer. They need to be more honest with their sales. My credit was run with the understanding that I was approved. I will never go or refer anyone to them again.

I purchased a car back in June. I informed the dealer well in advance of my financial situation before even scheduling a visit. The guy that showed me the car immediately started pressuring me about purchasing this particular vehicle, a 2017 Dodge Dart. I proceeded to look the car over and ask about the cars mechanical history. I was promised the car title and carfax were clean, clutch was brand new and the vehicle had gone through a thorough inspection and was in great condition. He didn't ask me to test drive which I found weird but made no promises to purchase. Once inside I was take to yet another sales rep and from there spent the next 3 hours having him and several gentlemen throw me for a loop and pressure me about this vehicle promising the payments would go down after a year of driving it. I agreed because had just started a new job and needed reliable transportation. I finally got the chance to drive the car and immediately noticed an issue with the clutch. I tried calling the dealership and kept getting promises of calls back that never happened. Less than 60 days of driving this vehicle the clutch gave out completely. I had to have it towed and call the dealership that claimed they couldn't find my contract to see if be covered under warranty. I was able to locate the contract immediately and pointed out to them that the vehicle was never sold AS IS. I towed it to a mechanic to find out the clutch was completely destroyed and the transmission fluid was leaking. For weeks I called in and requested several managers and I was told some one would call me back and No one ever did. Due to lack of transportation I lost both of my jobs and recently the vehicle was repossessed because the dealership refused to call me back regarding a defective vehicle they assured me was in perfect working condition. They still have not returned my call and did not offer to have it towed or even refund me my down payment to cover even a month of the payment to avoid repossession.

Zeigler Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Schaumburg advertises on line a price for a Jeep Grand Cherokee that is $7000 off of list. When you go in that price is not available. That dealer is very unethical and I would not recommend purchasing anything from them. They lied and misrepresented the actual price. Very shady dealership.

DO NOT GET CAR SERVICED HERE! I took my 2017 Pacifica in due to dashboard light issue which was just past my warranty. Zeigler wanted to charge me a total of close to $1500 to repair, luckily I had contacted Chrysler from get go as I was feeling this was a design defect and they worked with me bringing cost to a $250 deductible. This was achived by Chrysler working with dealer paying them balance. When speaking with service manager (C.B) he stated they could not do that but could reduce bill to $1k out the door. I then called Chrysler right back as woman read to me service managers (C.B.) email agreeing to terms of $250! So Service manager (C.B.) was trying to double dip taking $ from ******************************** His tune changed after Chrysler contacted him but then went right into I had a oil housing leak!? I literally had oil changed day prior by my long time mechanic so I called my mechanic. He stated Chrysler sends out information which stated due to design during oil changes some overflow may happen & please do not mistake this as a leak! Chrysler, Service Manager (C.B) knows this too. Service mgr (C.B) went even further stating I had already had my housing replaced w *********** parts which would have been covered but now need replacing. That never happened! I took my car to my mechanic today to look, he stated all is fine and the ORIGINAL FACTORY NUMBERS are still on the oil housing, never been changed!??Also during service of what I allowed them to do they broke off a trim piece and deny they did it. I have never experienced such bald faced lies and just wonder how many customers are getting suckerd by Service manager (C.B.) scammer! Stay away!!!

do not buy used cars in this place they are defective and apart from that they sell you an extended insurance of 2 years for engine and transmission problems and when you call the insurance they refuse to pay the repair of course because the car already had a problem that they did not they let you know before buying it separately if you go zeigler to try to fix the problem they treat you worse than garbage

I purchased a vehicle from Zeigler exactly a year ago. I had not had a car financed in about 10 years and my credit was bad. I was given the option of 2 vehicles by the salesperson(who was a very polite and honest young man). Of course I picked the shiny truck that "looked" good. Well, that was where the nightmare began! That very day, the a/c stopped blowing cool air. I returned the truck and they kept a couple of days while they were waiting for a part to be delivered. They even gave me a loaner car! Since then, I have had nothing but PROBLEMS with this truck. From steering to brakes, to the radiator, to yes, the a/c which is STILL not working a year later. The "Check Engine" light has been on intermittently for the past 6 months or so, and now I can't pass the emissions test. I went to Zeigler ***** in Schaumburg to try to get from under this $12,000 piece of garbage that I owe on, and guess what? Now I need a cosigner or $4,000-$5,000 down! I have been paying my monthly payment on time every month for a year. I have had to put almost $6000 worth of work into this truck, and now the bank wants me to pay more money or get a cosigner? This has been the worst experience ever! Both of these dealerships (BTW, they claimed that they are owned by different entities, but who cares?) "claimed" that they were going to help me. I am in a worse place than I was before I entered either one of these dealerships. I will never do business with ANY Zeigler dealership ever again. I'm sure customers with good credit or with ample cash on hand for down payments probably don't have these type of experiences at Zeigler, but I'm sure there are more "regular" people like me who just work for a living and are just trying to have a reliable vehicle to get them from A to B. I have no faith in car dealerships any more. It's always about the money and not about the customer. It's sad.
