Dishonest and big waste of time dealership. Went to this dealership to purchase a brand new 2022 ********** Atlas with a price negotiated with salesman. The sales manager related that he would honor a Carmax trade in value and would confirm the value since they are a Carmax affiliated dealership. Having to leave the dealership to empty out my trade-in vehicle, and an attempt and being pressured into leaving a deposit for the hour I would be gone they both related they would call me if the value of the trade in was not honored. Thankfully the deposit was not left or this would be a fraud complaint. I never received a call from the salesman or the sales manager relating the value had suddenly dropped by $5000. I decided to recontact the dealership on my way back over with the car cleaned out and confirming the Carmax offer was still honored. I was told the deal was good and accepted. Upon returning an hour later the sales manager lied to get me back into the dealership finally revealing he would now give me $5000 less for my trade-in.Review from Erik A

I brought my 2017 Tiguan for the 40k inspection and an oil change. After 2 hours they brought my car out and I paid $292 dollars for the work that was done and a sales guy tried to sell me tires. While I was driving home I noticed that the check engine light was still on( it comes on when inspections oil changes, etc.. are due)which I thought was puzzling since they had inspected the car. Im no expert on cars but I would assume that any inspection would notice the engine light was still on - if they inspected the car at all they would have seen it which leads me to believe they didnt do anything. So now I have to go and pay someone to see if they even did oil and filter change let alone the inspection. I want to thank everyone at fox valley vw for the extra time and expense.

Hi ****, I would like to first apologize if we released your vehicle with the check engine light on. I can assure you that the 40k maintenance was completed on the vehicle and would like to have you bring the vehicle back in so that we can turn off or assess the check engine light. This light does not come on when maintenance is due. There is a maintenance light for that. Your check engine light usually has something to do with your fuel and oxygen ratio and can be set off by a faulty sensor or even something as simple as a bad gas cap or one that is not properly closed. Is there a good time for you to bring this by for us to take a look at?
