    Overview

    Family Hyundai is a new and used car dealer which also services Hyundai vehicles.  They sell new and used vehicles. Their new and certified pre-owned vehicles are all Hyundai, but they sell other used vehicles, including cars from BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Scion, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo. Used cars range from under $10,000 to over $60,000, and represent model years from 1995 to the current model year. Fuel types include flex fuel, hybrid, and gasoline.
    Their service department includes 24 hour a day roadside assistance for assistance for keys locked in the car, flat tires, dead batteries, out being out of gas. Hyundai Roadside Assistance will tow a vehicle to the nearest Hyundai dealership for repair if the vehicle is inoperable. The service department performs routine maintenance on repairs on Hyundai vehicles.

    I have been ridiculed, disrespected, lied to and mistreated by the Director of the ****************** at Family Hyundai while on a recorded phone line with Hyundai corporate. My 2017 Hyundai Tucson engine has failing rod bearings; as a result, oil is burning out of tail pipes, tapping sounds from engine while driving and a considerable loss of power. I have ******* mile powertrain warranty extension on my engine if there is rod bearing failure which was confirmed . I had taken my vehicle to a private mechanic (Irvins Autocare) and he notified me that my engine was failing. He then called ************************* and had an auditor inspect the vehicle and confirmed that it was rod bearing failure. I informed The director of service and multiple employees that a Hyundai corporate case manager confirmed that my vehicle is covered and I should undergo testing, diagnosis and repair. They have thwarted several attempts of me receiving proper service and it feels like discrimination. The director of service showed poor professionalism and informed me to hurry up and get my vehicle out of the service department or he will get it towed in 30 days. I informed the director, that ************************* lied to me and said my vehicle lost only a quart of oil during the 1000 mile rod bearing test. I have video and photo evidence showing that there was barely any oil on the dipstick. ************************* then informed me to call Monday to start the next test. The Director of Service continued to disrespect and lie to me while on Hyundai corporate recorded line. Family Hyundai is refusing service and not honoring their Hyundai ***************** Bulletin.

    Family Hyundai in ***********, ** is the worst when it comes to timing on discovering a problem and servicing a vehicle. My car was towed there are Friday (3/18/2024) and I am still waiting for it to be checked. Their response is they have a lot of cars ahead of mine's but, in the meantime, I can't even get a loaner because they don't have the time look at it! They have the absolute worst customer service that I have experienced at a car dealership! If you need to take your car in for an oil change, I have been told they don't have an appointment for three months! Terrible! Evidently the cars aren't any good because they had to replace a motor in my 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe last year under the warranty and it has been less than and year and I am having motor problems again! Just my opinion but I would suggest not to buy a Hyundai, especially from this dealership! I have had numerous brands of cars and have never had to experience customer service like this or a car's motor going out in less than ******* miles! I would rate this with zero stars!!
