After a bad car accident I was in need of a car. As I came I to the dealer I explained I was in alot of pain and medicated. 7 1/2 I was Approve by my bank of course there was nothing for that amount. Finally I said ok let's go with your approval. They put me in a pool my credit was hit 8 times. They asked about how much I could afford a month I said about 240 ish. I hade sig thousand to put down so I thought that will be great. Well the fast talking salesman sold me on a four thousand dooler warrent which I thought was 400. So know I'm paying 400 dollers a month for a 2017 ***** civic that price was twenty three thousand what a rip off. I can't even refinace because they say I'm upside down with thus loan. Doesn't seem fair dealers can play with pepoles life's like this

I bought my first car from them and up until this point, it has been nothing but tears or anger and frustration. THEY WILL TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE OF YOU IF YOU ARE A WOMAN OR YOUNG. I have been spoken to with the MOST disrespectful tone and words, that I have ever experienced in my life. I bought a 2022 Sonata at 19 yrs. old, fresh off the truck and since then it's been the same problem over and over. I bought the car January of 2022 and I've taken it in every month for the same issue, Auto start/stop. It will turn on and off while I am at a light or while DRIVING, causing me to obstruct the road, turn on my hazards, turn off the car, turn it back on, put it in drive, then wait until it is safe to go. They have kept my car 3 times (for about a month-month and a half each time, got a loaner all 3 times as well ONLY after throwing a fit and crying in front of them) and each time I get it back, it has been 'fixed' or 'unable to duplicate issue'. MY LESS THAN A YEAR-OLD CAR HAD ITS ENGINE REPLACED ALONG W/ 2 INJECTORS. I spoke to the general manager, and he has the attitude of a 5-year-old. He shamed me and talked to me with the most disgusting tone and is beyond unprofessional. Apparently, no one there is ever at fault, it's always the customers wrongdoing even though, I have every single maintenance report from when I bought it, until now showing perfect upkeep. Never been late on a payment either. They lose track of reports and don't properly document their complaints or questions in general. Please avoid this dealership, I am now stuck with a faulty car that I feel very unsafe being in, I filed a complaint to corporate and will be taking legal action if not resolved soon.

They are awful. **** is a dishonest salesperson. Swindled me into packages I didnt need for the car I bought. Their business sold me a pre owned CERTIFIED vehicle THAT HAD ISSUES. Ummm pretty sure thats ILLEGAL. I can only use the packages at that slimey location. ***** is also another issue of a business manager there. I asked multiple times to have my address corrected and he couldnt seem to get back to me. He hides behind his computer screen and no one there can seem to supply me with the information I asked for. ****, the general manager, THREATENED to take my car back after I purchased it because they kept it for a week to fix a mirror?? I should have just given them the car back and went elsewhere. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE, they are scummy and I truly dont know how they sleep at night.

Typical sleezy car salesmen!!!I am only putting 1 star because they wont let me put 0 or even negative stars.I went to Elgin ******** to find a used car for my daughter ( who is 19 yrs. *** and doesn't know anything about cars ), we found one and proceeded to make a deal. ***************************** was our salesman, and the deal was for $10,000.00 give or take a couple hundred out the door, for a used 2012 Hyundai Tuscan with ****** miles on it!Because the car was just traded in, we left it with ****** for them to look it over and fix anything that might be a safety issue, which they did, and my daughter and I were going to come sign for it, and pick it up a few days later when they were done. Unfortunately, I could not make it that day, so my ex-wife and my daughter went to get the car instead (because I thought I had everything set up for the purchase). We put $5,000 down & were going to finance the rest.My daughter set up payment's of around $200.00 a month and it was done. Today, my daughter called me after actually looking at the contract, she realized that there were several other charges that are clearly B.S., and some were charges that I told ***************************** that I didn't want, but somehow when my ex and my daughter (who knows nothing about cars) went to get the car, and unbeknownst to them, these other charges were on the contract. (why would anybody pay $15,000 for a 2012 Tuscan with ****** miles on it? The deal was for approx. $10,000!!)I called ****** the sales manager about this and of course I get the run around! (how do these people sleep at night!). So now I've tried to get hold of the general manager (****), and I haven't received a call (go figure). How can these slimeballs take advantage of a woman and a young girl!!! I have been in the auto industry for 35 years, but never car sales ( because I have a conscience), and I've worked with too many of them to know I couldn't deceive ANYONE like this. DO NOT BUY HERE!!!!!!! DO NOT Bring any business here!

Bought a car from them end of January and the vehicle didnt even make it to its first oil change. Only put **** miles on it before the engine seized up. Checked the oil and it was BONE DRY. As a single working mother I need my car. Elgin Hyundai has given me the run around now for going on 2 weeks. I call them 3-4 times a day, every day and am sent straight to someones voicemail each time. Today they finally returned my phone call and because I am uneducated about cars I handed the phone to my boyfriend who they refused to talk to about the situation even though I was RIGHT THERE they told me to call back when I am alone!!!!!!! Talk about taking advantage of a woman. PREDATORY PRACTICES !!!!!!!!!

They kept my car for 10 months. No loaner. No update. No reimbursement of my car payments. I payed and brought my own mechanic to look at my car and explain to me why they were taking this long since they were not giving me any answers. Got my car the next day.. funny how that works. Guess thats what happens when youre a 23 year old girl that has zero knowledge about cars. Worse experience as a first car owner.

JUST FRAUDULENT!Elgin Hyundai deserves every single horrible review that is posted here. We communicated with the dishonest internet sales person who told us that the specific car we were looking for was available. The bait and switch was put right into action when we arrived. We found out that the car was sold three months prior! The sales person could not wait to offer other more expensive cars that were available. Then we were offered fake apologies but hey lets look at this car that is 5k more. Nope! Was not hearing it and left. Dont do business with these people. They dont deserve your business! Just fraudulent!! Can I give a negative 10 rating?

The sales tactics at Elgin Hyundai are brutal. When you ask for your trade in keys back it is like a fight to get the keys back. They often advertise vehicle that are often sold and will substitute a Hyundai that often costs more. On the use car front. you can often buy a new model for what they are asking for the used model after they ad all the perks of the used model.

At this dealership they are shady and dishonest BUYER BEWARE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP, I was charged $1299 literally for something I do not need, $699 that was never disclosed to me was just added to my contract truth be told I should get reimbursed for that $699 that was never disclosed to me I don't even know what that's for, a warranty policy that cost $3,354 price was never disclosed to me by ****** if not I would have declined, vehicle I purchased was in an accident was not disclosed by AMIN I told him I wanted a new Hyundai venue but he said there were none even though it stated they had four new 2022 Hyundai venues online, when I got there they only had a certified pre-owned one which I told him I did not want a vehicle that was in a accident and he did not disclose that to me if it was or it wasn't if I would have known I would never purchased the car I would think an honest person would have disclosed that to a person purchasing a car but I had to find out on my own after I purchase the vehicle when I take it to my mechanic, IT WAS A POOR EXPERIENCE ALL AROUND I HAVE EXCELLENT CREDIT SCORE AND I GAVE 20K DOWN I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW I STILL OWE 15K ON A USED VEHICLE AT THAT I KNOW MOST OF IT IT'S FROM THEM ADD-ONS AND FEES, I'M LITERALLY PAYING 35K TOTAL I COULD HAVE JUST PURCHASED A NEW ONE FOR THAT PRICE AT ANOTHER HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP IN THE CITY, AND THEY GET YOU WITH THESE UNNECESSARY ADD-ONS AND SOME ARE NOT EVEN DISCLOSED TO YOU THEY JUST ADD THEM TO YOUR CONTRACT, BE CAREFUL WHEN PURCHASING AT THIS DEALERSHIP I WILL NOT BE RETURNING OR RECOMMENDING ANYONE TO GO THERE IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD, ONE MORE THING THEY COULDN'T EVEN PROVIDE ME WITH MATS FOR THIS VEHICLE THAT COST ME $35K THEY ALREADY SCREWED ME WHY NOT THROW IN SOME MATS THIS PLACE IS A JOKE THEY TRY TO GET YOU FOR EVERY ***** YOU ARE WARNED, ****** LEARNED ON MY END NOT EVERYONE IS HONEST THEY'RE ALL ABOUT THEIR COMMISSION AND MAKING A QUICK BUCK ON OTHERS EXPENSE.

Best experience buying cars over the past 10 years, Personally leased 5 or 6, sent at least 10 customers over there. **** the general manager is amazing. I even met the owner once ***.I highly recommend this dealership.
