I visited Car Center Jan 16th looking to inquire about an 2010 X5 **** upon arriving I was greeted by ***** who was the lot's salesman. He popped the hood, allowed me to test drive the vehicle and assured me the car had no issues and if any appeared I was more than welcome to bring the vehicle back for a refund or to fix it. I went ahead with the purchase and didn't put any money down and within 2 days the brake light went off signifying my brake pads were worn. I brought back the car to Car Center Jan 19th where I was told I needed brake pads and new rotors. I decided to take the car to ****************** on Jan 24th for a second opinion and had an inspection done. ***************************** was my point of contact for **** Once I came back to Car Center with the report that's when I started to receive pushback. I was told I couldn't return the car and they reused to work on the car till I pointed out ******** Law 815 ILCS 505/2L, it was then that they decided they would work on the car themselves with their mechanic. I was told to bring the car back Jan26th and upon arrival they said to come back the next day Jan27th. Jan 27th is when things went extremely left, I was met by a combative ***** who proceeded to yell at me and call me a "bullshitter" because I pointed out the car was sputtering on startup now too. He felt as though the issues I was dealing with involving the car weren't significant. While I was waiting on the work for my car to be completed ***** kicked me then choked me while in their office space. Police were called, police reports have been filed but following this incident my car went from being ready in 2 hours to being ready on Monday Jan30th. Monday comes and I ask for information regarding my car and i receive none. Nobody knows what work is being done on the car or how long it will take to be completed. I would like the work to be completed so I can move on.
