My husband purchase a 1.5 quart of Mayfield's Homemade Vanilla Premium Ice Cream from *******s Grocery store on **** ****** *** ******* *** *****, the last week of January 2022. Due to a severe throat problem I only eat the Vanilla as a coolant for this problem. The week of Feb. 7, 2022 I opened the carton, I had consumed 2 portions on different days. The 3rd time used my Silver spoon in which to scooping the Ice cream, after the 1st spoon full was in my bowl I looked back @ the carton as saw something black in the mist of all the white ice cream. My initial thought was "this is a big BUG" and begin to scream. My husband along with his flash light took a close look, then he took another larger silver spoon to dig into that spot. Upon his inspection he assured me it was not a bug, it was hard & black with tiny screw whole in the other side. This is definitely a small Piece of Equipment that broke off of MAYFIELD DAIRY'S Machine. I call the 800-629-3435 to let the company know what has been discovered in my food of which I have eaten from 2 previous times. I filed case # *******, my case worker was Andrea no last name was given. They sent me an e-mail and I attached good copies of this object front and back copies. Then on 02/24/2022 Andrea contact me by phone to say the investigation has been completed, and the team found this object to be a piece from a Spoon or Ice Cream Scoop. I am highly insulted by the suggestion and the criminal implication on my part. I retired from one of the Largest Banks in the world as a Banking Officer, where I held a position of Trust and was completely Bonded. I will not accept this finding from their Investigation Team, if I have to go to the media outlet or sue for defamation of character; I am prepared to do so. This object found in my ice cream is a threat and danger to me or anyone else who might have gotten this container of ice cream. Mayfield has been a Trusted name of quality for many years, no longer true.
