Ahlers Roofing and Construction provided roofing services on my three rental properties and primary residence. The facts are as follows: The wrong color shingles were installed which diminished the value of the property.Despite my instructions, your company installed new gutters and I was charged for work that you were not authorized to perform. Your employees stole property from my yard and after notifying you of this theft, you refused to address the issue and would not provide me with the name of your insurance/bonding company preventing me from filing a claim. You were paid for work that was never completed. Farmers instructed you to remove the supplemental fees and reimburse me, you refused. Your company charged me to replace the covers of four power vents. The covers were never replaced. Your crew only sprayed the covers with spray paint. More alarming is the fact that my roof only has two power vents, but I was charged for four.Your company charged me to replace the flashing around the chimney(s). This work was never performed. Again, your crew only spray painted the flashing, but it was not replaced.Due to unprofessional workmanship and not replacing the flashing, my roof leaked. You sent a representative to conduct an inspection of the leak, but he refused to acknowledge or fix the problem. The roof continued to leak, and I was forced to hire a different roofer to inspect the roof. This roofer documented the following issues:The cause of the leak was the old flashing that had not been replaced.The leak resulted in water damage to my home.Mold was discovered in the attic.The power vents and covers were not replaced.Numerous shingles were damaged from the tripod failure and mechanical marks. Your company refuses to conduct mold remediation caused by the roof leak. I have repeatedly requested your insurance/bonding information, and you have refused to supply this information. Shame on you AHLERS ROOFING.
