On 1/30/2023 ABA sent a technician to my home for a washing machine repair. The technician ******************** arrived at my home and determined that he was unable to move the washer in order to assess the particular problem I had due to the size of my washer. He told me that he had pancreatic cancer and was unable to move the machine and would need a second technician for help. The machine was not repaired nor was it assessed other than for the size of the machine. ******** said we would have to reschedule service repair in order to have 2 technicians to provide service. Out of desperation I moved the machine from the wall looked behind the machine and noticed it was simply unplugged. I plugged the machine into the outlet and my machine started working again. ABA is now demanding payment for services that were not rendered in the amount of ****** simply for sending someone to my home who turned out to be incapable of addressing the is*** I had with my washing machine. They started contacting me 9/2023 regarding making a payment for services and today, 9/19/2023 I received a demand letter from the company threatening to *** me for theft of services, services that I did not receive. What I received was a story from their technician regarding a health is*** that prevented him from providing me with an assessment of my washing machine. I feel I am being bullied by a major company for a service they did not provide and am being burdened by the incompetence of their staff. When I called the company to report what happened they told me that I was at fault for failing to inform them that I had a large washing machine. I moved the machine independently. Please help me.

ABA Appliance Repair made me pay for a repair for an appliance they did not repair to working order. They came to do a diagnostic on my clothes Dryer. The initial technician gave me an estimate of repair cost and parts needed and gave me the impression that my Dryer could be repaired. I put down a deposit of half the cost to order parts and schedule the repair based on this assessment. A second appointment was scheduled and a different technician was sent out to do the actual repair. I felt he knew immediately that the repair he was set to do was not going to fix the problem and get my Dryer in working condition. It did not work upon repair and I was given another estimate for an additional part that needed to be ordered and asked to pay the remainder for the day's work even though my appliance was not repaired. I declined to order the additional part and was not confident it could be fixed at this point. When I explained that I should not be charged the second half when they did not get my appliance in working order, I immediately received a collections type call from their office (which was very rude and I felt threatened if I did not pay). I additionally asked for a detailed breakdown of what I was paying for (cost of parts, cost of vent clean, cost of labor) and was told I could maybe get that from a supervisor after I paid. I have not received it. Had I done my due diligence before contacting ABA Appliance Repair, I would have seen that this is a consistent complaint with them based on reviews on other consumer websites (Yelp for example). I felt like I was scammed into committing to a payment that did not end in a working appliance.
