            On Nov 8th 2023, I contacted a representative from the Payless Power Company and was routed to one of their third party affiliates unbeknownst to me. I inquired about starting prepaid energy services and gathered specific information on the cost to initiate and begin services. After receiving this information, my next question and most important question directed to the Energy Representative, was regarding payment arrangements. I explained to the Representative that I am a Government Benefits Recipient and would be receiving monetary help later this month. I specifically asked if I obtained service Today 11/8/2023 would I be able to go on a payment arrangement after the $40 prepaid amount runs out after **** days. This question is asked - because it is one of the only options for Hardship Families to restore electricity, heat, and protect perishable foods received from the *** Snap Program. A ****************** Assistance Program for In Need Hardship Families in *****. The Representative stated that I would have 30 days if placed on a prepaid payment plan to satisfy the account balance before a disconnection of Electricity would occur. I stated that - that sounds perfect for my current situation.On 11/27 my service was disconnected. I was given False information that led to the activation of my Energy Services account which has currently placed me in a switch-hold situation based on misinformation, error, and Fraud. My Apartment Unit is now being Held Hostage and is in near freezing temperatures and in Pitch Dark. I have 2 children and this company refuses to remove the switch-hold and turn back on electricity per their Error that was made via Third Party. I have asked that their Payless Executive Team or Director ******* review the Calls as I will be pursuing litigation. I have followed State Statutory and Common Laws that Energy Clients or Customers of (REP) ****** Energy Providers are to follow. This is to attempt to resolve matters in Good Faith.

            *****************-  As outlined in our response to your **************************** a review of the call were you completed your enrollment steps was reviewed and the recording was provided to the ***** While you had many questions regarding payment assistances options, at no time did you specifically ask if a deferred payment plan would exclude you from  having to make payments to keep your balance current. You also did not did not ask if having an open *** would prevent you from being disconnected while the payment plan was open. Consequently when you applied for the *** through the online systems, you were presented with the terms of the agreement . These terms also did not stipulate that by accepting a *** you would be protected from disconnection while the deferred balance was being repaid.  The allegation that the representative advised that you would have 30 days if placed on a pre-paid payment plan  to satisfy the account balance before a disconnection of Electricity would occur" is factually and verifiably false.  At your request we will be happy to schedule a playback session so you can review the recording.
