BE AWARE of This Management Company!We were recent tenants of a home in Whitestone Oaks. The landlord/owner resides out of town and uses Hill COUNTRY PROPERTY MANAGEMENT: ********************************************** ****** *****. This company took $1,970.00 of our deposit using inflated cost justifications and violated the terms of the lease, by charging for minor issues listed as covered under Normal Wear and Tear. Weve tried repeatedly to discuss this matter and Hill COUNTRY PROPERTY MANAGEMENT has emailed standing firm on the charges but refuses to speak on the phone to discuss. We can only assume that the slower rental market is the reason Hill COUNTRY PROPERTY MANAGEMENT is withholding our full deposit, or that this is standard practice for this management company. We strongly encourage everyone, leasing from or considering using Hill COUNTRY PROPERTY MANAGEMENT to reconsider. We paid rent on time, took fantastic care of the property, gave 45-day notice, and had no outstanding charges or expense unpaid. Upon exiting the home, it was professionally cleaned and readied for the next tenant (broom ready as *** requested). We, like many others, did what we were asked under the terms of agreement, yet Hill COUNTRY PROPERTY MANAGEMENT took advantage of the situation and severely over-charged for minor and non-lease. Look at the power washer and landscaping charges to start?????We have been a realtors, homeowners and renters and in our lives and careers have never experienced such deceit and abuse of power.If you are a realtor, neighbor, or someone that needs to find a place to rent, i would not recommend anything listed with them as the management company unless you are okay with not getting a deposit back! I know I wont get my deposit back but I can do my best to protect others from this experience.
