I knew nothing about being a doula and . *** did a great job teaching The physiological aspects of birth along with the serving aspects of being a Doulas, how to truly care for your new moms. I was able to follow along and understand all three certifications and thing that were not covered in class were covered in the reading. The class requires reading, writing papers and vocabulary, and videos, if your not interested in putting in the work you will struggle to keep up. You have to invest many hours to have the ability to show up at a birth and be taken seriously. I felt like the information gained through the book work made me feel like I was gaining a real education. Other certifications classes gave out certificates for showing up, I wanted an education and that is exactly what I got, I am proud to add my certifications from Maternity Wise next to my college degree. Thank you *** for giving my the ability to fulfill my calling to care for our new momma and giving me an education that allows me to talk to other birth workers on there level!

MaternityWise worked with my budget so that I could afford the classes. The required reading is very relevant and the classes either introduced concepts or techniques that a doula would use in her career as a doula.MaternityWise also gave a lot of information to help build a business and encouragement to build a career for yourself.MaternityWise also assigns mentors so that there is help along the journey of becoming a doula and building a business and career.

From start to finish, I loved my experience with MaternityWise. I took the combo doula course and I felt so prepared walking into my first birth!! The support before/during/answer after training was amazing. They make every effort to offer ongoing support too. Would definitely recommend!!

As a new practicing doula getting my certification through maternity wise was the best choice i could have made. They have a very good set of ethics that allow for all of us to learn about how we can use what we already have inside of us, as human beings, too be able to help and encourage others that are in the very vulnerable process of child birth and postpartum. Having my lactation certification is also such a blessing to so many moms who are the roller coaster journey of breast feeding. One of the things that was instilled in me throughout this training was "educated and supported is always best". That's the whole point of being a doula. Educating and supporting all birthing and pregnant persons. Something that we have a Doula through maternity wise is a community of doulas that all worked together. We are all always supported through our journey and always have access to our coaches and peers to help us through our decisions and make us better doulas. 10000/10 recommend if you're looking to become a doula and if you're looking for a doula look for us maternity wise sisters!
