Do I have to give them a star? I ordered plates from myplates.com and was denied because the plate was supposedly offensive to ethnicity and the female gender. YET the plate was available on their website. DON"T order from them. I ordered back on March 26th and have had to call weekly to get updates. They move slower than a snail. I called today only to find out that my appeal was upheld, meaning I cannot get the plate I ordered. WELL THEN TAKE IT OFF OF YOUR WEBSITE. DUH!

My Plates, as explained to customer in writing on 4/7/22, does not perform the review, approval or denial of plate messages. This is also explained on the website, immediately below the personalized message search box and in the **** and in the purchase receipt sent to the customer. All plate messages are reviewed by the ***** post-purchase, who have sole authority over approval or denial, and hence why messages are not instantly declined when searched on myplates.com. This approach better serves all customers as it allows for individual review by the ***** versus programmatic rejections automatically performed. My Plates provided to the customer in writing the specific state-provided rejection criteria reason. My Plates is required to follow a specific process for plate messages rejected by the *****, a part of which included providing the customer detail and direction on how to submit an appeal to the ***** in order to potentially gain clarity on the question that My Plates is unable to answer. Customer was provided the appeal option, as well as an option to change the message, and a refund option. Customer did not advise ********************** they had appealed with the *****, so My Plates was unable to assist in updates. On 4/12/22, customer contacted **********************, made plate message revision, order closed.

I ordered plates with my husbands last two digits of birth year, first initial, and his last name. I received a denial letter because the said are last name suggested illegal activity. My sister in law ordered the exact same plate with a different birth year and first initial of first name and she was approved. I then sent an email and its content was totally disregarded. But they sure did collect my ****** dollars. Im hoping to get that back soon!!

All plate messages are reviewed by the TxDMV, who have sole authority over approval or denial, which also includes any appeals. My Plates provided the customer the specific state-provided rejection criteria reason, and further explained we are unable to offer comment or additional explanation. My Plates is required to follow a specific process for plate messages rejected by the TxDMV, a part of which included providing the customer detail and direction on how to submit an appeal to the TxDMV in order to potentially gain clarity on the question that My Plates is unable to answer. Customer was provided the appeal option, as well as an option to change the message, and a refund option. On 3/28/22, customer chose the refund option, which was initiated.

Again they miss my point. My last name **** was not approved but was approved for someone else. I just wanted to know why they would approve for one and not the other.
