Use at your own risk:We first met *** from Prime Design Group in the beginning of April, he was recommended by our contractor as they had a very good rapport with one another. We are new to the area so we were open to our contractors suggestions. We received a proposal from *** for house plans on April 13 *********************************************************************** the coming ***************** then proceeded come to our home to take measurements and discuss what are plans were for home remodel. We personally found him to be ****** confident and he insisted telling us how good his work is, therefor our expectations of his work were quite high. After 4 months of waiting, many inquiring phone calls to Prime Design Group from us and our contractor and listening to excessive excuses as to why *** could not work on our home plans we finally received what looked like a very rushed and not very thought out plan in the beginning of July. *** seemed to disregard our many suggestions that were made. We finally decided on the 3rd plan just to try to get our home construction started again felt like it was thrown together. Prime Design Groups final **** of 30 hours was sent to us on July 13 2021. As our home plans were sent to engineering we decided to consult with the contractor on the minor interior details we wanted changed that did not require architectural design because we felt we were not being heard when trying to discuss our changes with ***. Due to the 4 month delay for architect drawing of our home we have incurred an exponential material price increase unfortunately. After approving the quote from our contractor which was based on the Jons architectural drawings for our family home we were finally able to start work on the home remodel in late October.As the construction of our home started the framers and project manager found multiple major architectural mistakes to most of the interior walls, a complete missed measurement of the fire place, a complete disregard to window placements, roofing issue and a huge confusion in which plans were actually approved by us we had to stop all construction on the remodel thus creating yet another delay by ***. Between the contractor, the trades men, project supervisor, engineer and our selves we had to recreate a plan that could be properly engineered. Due to the poor architect plans we have generated over $20k in extra material, labour and engineering costs that seem to constantly be rising due to Jons oversights. We tried very hard to resolve all the issues early on when Jons architecture mistakes were discovered, but he possessed a lack of concern and avoided any immediate contact from our project supervisor, our contractor or us causing even more delays to our family home remodel. Eventually our contractor was able to contact *** in which he came to our home one time to discuss his architectural mistakes. Jons solution to one of the architecture problems was to just put another closet in one of the large open spaces not much more was discussed because he walked away and we have never been able to contact *** again. *** did not resolve any of the problems nor did he care to work with us to come to a resolution, actually *** has avoided any contact with us or our contractor to this day. Unfortunately we feel forced into contacting legal council to help us resolve all the issues that *** from Prime Design Group refuses to deal with.
