On 9/1/23, Precision technician *************************, came to inspect my garage door. He told me my door was old and had a small crack. He tightened the garage door opener to a support panel and oiled the rollers without prior approval and then charged me $250.00. He utilized this technique to give me a sales pitch for a new door. His persistence made me feel pressured. He emailed me the invoice and said I had 7 days. Against my better judgment I relented and paid $1300.00.On 9/21/23, Precision Door came to install. Upon completion I noticed a very large opening on the left side. I explained that this in no way was acceptable. Upon raising and lowering the door I noticed one of the panels was bent. The installer requested I pay the final installment, however, I declined until the door was installed properly and the bent panel replaced. I requested ******* to phone me to get this resolved. To date he never phoned. The installer said a new panel should be available within one week. Two months later. On 11/21/23. ***, from Precision, called telling me the replacement panel was in. On 11/28/23, ***************************** arrived to install. Once finished he asked me to sign a form of completion and pay balance. I asked to have a discussion with the owner of the company before I pay. ***** phoned the office and then threatened me that they could contact the Bexar County Sheriff to come and collect. **** from the office left a message stating they needed to collect $1178.26. Upon returning her call I requested to speak with the owner. **** stated ****** was out of the office. I waited 2 days for a call. On 11/30/23 **** told me she had been instructed to send me a letter and that the owner would not speak with me. The owner should be willing to address any and all concerns with their paying customers. I am a 73 year old retired widow of a veteran and living on a fixed income. This purchase has been a costly mistake both financially and emotionally for me.Review from Margaret H

The service sellsman *************************** was very professional, helpful and pleasant. I was very surprised by his kindness and willingness to make sure we were pleased with his service. In this day and time its hard to let people into your home. But **** was an excellent representation of your company. The garage door was manually and made a lot of noise went it opened or closed. He replaced it was the electric opener. It now opens so smoothly with hardly any noise. Job well done and thank you.Review from Troy M

Service after the sell and customer ********************** is terrible. The install went well but did not install trim on the new build garage doors. Myself and the contractor have each called multiple times to get an updates over the last 2 months. We are getting the "it should be on the next truck" or "the wrong color got shipped" on multiple occasions. Finally, today, I got hung up on by the person who answered the phone because she said "they" are all in a meeting and "they" will call me back. I informed her two weeks ago I called that is exactly what was told to me and am still waiting for a call back. I asked is there someone I can speak with now and she said "no, my manager will be calling you" and hung up. I am getting the impression that they want me to give up on them. The work performed was for 4 garage doors (2 on existing structure and 2 on new build).Precision Overhead Door of San Antonio, Inc. Response

Hello ************** thank you for taking time to leave us review. Unfortunately, due to Covid all our supply chains have been affected negatively as far as on time deliveries. In your case there was no trim sold to you on your initial order when you purchased your door. When you expressed that you would like trim, we checked on it were originally told it was 90 days out only to be told later by our distributor that the lead time had been extended, they have no control over it either as they are also waiting on a supplier to manufacture it. We apologize for the inconvenience but again with the supply chains interrupted there is not a lot we can do. We are happy that you chose a different color, and we can resolve the issue tomorrow. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concernsReview from Sandra Y

Came out the same day and the repair went well, but it was crazy expensive. I normally use another repair company but they weren't available and my garage was stuck fully open so I was over a barrel.Precision Overhead Door of San Antonio, Inc. Response

Hello ************** thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are pleased to hear you are happy with the repair. As for the pricing, unfortunately, with Covid and the soaring cost of parts we have had to price our services accordingly so that we may continue to provide quality service every day of the week including in your case on Sunday. Again, we thank you taking the time to write a review, and hope that you understand. We appreciate your business and please dont hesitate to call us in the future.Review from Robert T

I contacted Precision after finding it on this BBB site. They gave me a price quote to replace my 2 Overhead Garage doors for $629.00 each. *********************** arrived at my residence yesterday, looked over my 2 doors and agreed they should be replaced but he could not honor the price I had been given because of recent price increases. He gave me a quote of $859.00, I declined and, he then said he could replace the doors for $779.99 but recommended I buy the upgraded lifetime springs for additional $500.00. I again declined. ***** said no one could replace the doors for less than $779.00. I advised ***** I would not do business with them because I did not trust their business practices. Later last night I received a written quote to replace my doors for $729.00 each. In the meanwhile I had called Overhead ************ of *** Antonio who quoted me $620.00 each door and Legacy Garage Doors who quoted me $550 for each door. Legacy replaced my doors as quoted and they were GREAT, see their review.Precision Overhead Door of San Antonio, Inc. Response

Hello ************** we sincerely apologize for the confusion regarding the pricing for new doors given to you by our call center. Upon further investigation, it appears they had outdated pricing as there have been 6 price increases since January 1st. This is the reason for the discrepancy when compared to the pricing you were quoted while the tech was onsite. We have since corrected the information given to our call center to ensure that this does not happen again in the future. We are glad to know that the other company was able to get you taken care of but hope that should you need any assistance in the future, we might once again have a shot at earning your business.Review from Shocked customer

Worst ever. Just got yelled and phone slammed at by a Deborah because they keep promising that my door that I purchased in February and was suppose to be installed in March has not arrived. Keeps telling me that it’s manufacturing issue but still no door. Extremely unprofessional lady. She left a nice message as well. Stay away.Precision Overhead Door of San Antonio, Inc. Response

*** *****, the ***'s that we receive are directly from our distributors. We not have any control over when they change. We do however inform our customers when the ***'s change. You had placed your order in February and then cancelled and we re-ordered your door on April 6th. When an order is cancelled that does remove you from the line. When you made the decision to re-order your door you started the process at the back of the line. We also refunded 2 of your ********* payments for the delay, even though we had no control over it. We appreciate your business and hope to be your garage door company of choice in the future. "
