Absolutely horrible customer service. They said they fixed my tail gate actuator but, when I checked it was still not operational sent it back said it was a bad fuse. then the service writer **** when I asked why didn't the first tech check his work he started gaslighting me telling me, it was intermediate and I might have put too much of a load ie. "A computer charger" And when I asked if they checked amps , resistance , good ground, or corrosion he ,got all defensive and rude, saying "we are beating a dead horse" . I do not recommend this dealership.

My **** Toyota 4 Runner was having some electrical wiring issues. Parked at my house front yard, squirrel got under the hood again to make a nest and chewed away couple of wires after a same problem 4 days ago when the same problem happened, I took the vehicle to a near by auto-electrical workshop for a repair. They repaired and fixed the problem at a cost of $289. Then I thought it is over, but again after 4 days the stupid squirrel did the same thing, chewed away couple of wires. I couldn't take back to the same mechanic as their workshop was relocated to a different place. So, I toed the truck to Alamo Toyota "so called Toyota dealer". The day when I left, the service agent named "*********************" told me that he would let me know about the cost of repair on Monday after mechanic takes a look. I remember, he also expressed, "wow, still a good looking car" when I dropped off. On Monday, he texted me couple of videos with cost of repairing each. For electrical portion only, it showed close to $6,000 to fix it, which I did in $289 at the first time. His all repair estimated cost was about $16,000. He called me to say, if I don't want to spend that much money, the mechanic wants to buy the car in $1,000. I didn't say "yes or no" or go ahead to repair, instead I went their after a few days to tow away my truck from the Alamo to a near by auto electrical workshop. They said it will cost me $289 (same as previously fixed cost). I was so relieved. Then I realized so called dealers abuse customers so much that whatever they throw the price, they think the customers have to accept it. If you decide not to do there, they will ask you to pay $190 diagnostic fee. But I refused to pay instead I argued with the manager, and I didn't pay. So, do not take your vehicle to such abusive dealers for a major repair unless otherwise it cannot be done outside. There are equally good auto workshops. It doesn't have to be this way.

Please do not trust this dealership; they will lie and scam you. Not only do they advertise a price online, they then violate the law and **** up the price after they get you in the door. If you're a minority or female, the price will be a higher cause thats the sick game this dealership plays. The finance department is just as bad as the sales **** and Erbin is a snake and a lier. This is why the managers can live in million dollar houses because of the rip of the customers off and the profits go into their pockets. Just look at all these reviews on BBB and Go somewhere else.

I had a written offer for my vehicle from a national Toyota dealership in ******* I called Alamo to see if they'd match the written offer if I agreed to purchase a vehicle from them that I'd seen online. They verbally agreed.I drove to *********** expecting to sell my vehicle and purchase one from them. Not only did they not match the offer (lowered it by $4,000). They then went into a low-brow used car sales bit. They refused to honor what they told me over the phone so I walked.Several days later I learned THEY ALSO RAN A HARD CREDIT INQUIRY ON ME BEFORE I SIGNED ANY PRICING SHEET.This hit my report and I received a letter on why they didn't approve me when I was the one who refused their deal. Not the other way around.

Its a real shame this dealership perpetuates the stereotype of shady tactics just to make sales, I was mislead about the entire process just so they could take the money and then go silent, and it was unbelievably frustrating. After almost walking out on the deal after they tried to sneak a finance contract into it at the last minute, they told us on Thursday that they could check the status of wire transfers and let me know the minute it cleared, so they could ideally delivery the vehicle Saturday. So the wire ($50k+!) was sent and they suddenly stopped responding to me. When I called the main phone number to see if ANYONE would respond, the story was totally different - that the ladies in accounting had gone home for the weekend at 11am on Friday and so they couldnt check the wire status until Monday at the earliest, so no chance of Saturday delivery. The entire process lacked transparency and they intentionally misled me. I would have never initiated that wire transfer had we known the truth. Sketchy and condescending from everyone involved (sales, finance).

I apologize for the experience you had at our dealership. It is normal practice to not deliver vehicles until we are fully paid or placing finance for that vehicle. However, there are a couple of things we could have done to get your car delivered early for you. Again, I apologize for this, and I will speak to my staff regarding this situation to ensure it doesn't happen to future customers. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to make this situation better for you and keep you as an Alamo Toyota customer. Thanks again for your business, it is truly appreciated.

Right now, I'm not sure if I'm getting a new Toyota or I'm going to have to *** these guys to get my $ back. I followed their instructions and wired more than $50,000 to them with the promise that they would deliver my truck the next day (to my house, by the way. So yeah, they know where I live). Wire sent and confirmed by my bank (wire, by the way, not ACH), yet they refuse to schedule a delivery and refuse to even check their bank to see if it was received. I also think they tried to enlist me in a little financial fraud when I went to pay them in the dealership. I was 100% clear I was paying cash, yet when I went to the "finance department" to complete the sale, they put a fully completed loan contract on the desk for me to sign, "just as backup" in case the wire didn't go through. I'm guessing they get a loan origination kick-back from Toyota for hitting their monthly quota of new contracts. Someone might want to let Toyota HQ know. Now they won't answer the phone or get back to us. Like I said, do I get a new Toyota, or do I have to *** them for fraud? I guess we'll see.

I wanted to trade in my Buick Rendezvous for a used Toyota truck. They took the Buick to get value assessment. Then I couldn't find a used truck. So they they started selling me a new truck. I didn't want a new truck. Because couldn't afford it. I'm a disabled Veteran with limited income and they knew it as well. So I asked for the keys to my Buick. The sales person said he'd sold my Buick Rendezvous already to a customer. What? I said it's right there hiding in the car wash area. Your hiding my Buick why. It's already sold. So I ended buying a new truck I couldn't afford. What was I thinking. Mental stress error in my case. Few months later I drove it back and voluntarily default on loan. Fast forward Toyota collectors lawyers placed a property lien to recover the difference after they supposedly resold the truck. Ten years later im refinancing our home and surprise I owe Toyota $13k plus 5% interest to release the property lien. As a disabled Veteran suffering from mental health. I will never do any future big investment without a sound person present. Based on other complaints on there site. It seems it's been happening more often than I thought. It's more of a scam well executed by there managers and everyone else. To deploy false ideas and then literally steal thousands of dollars for there personal gain. With no enforcement or penalties for this actions taken against defenseless customers. Recap lost $14k on Buick Rendezvous. Credit was destroyed. And now property lien from Toyota attorneys to recoup $13k plus 5% interest back to 2011. I'm better of dying at war than having driven into this dealership AlamoToyota 410 *********** now located **** where there System of doing business is financial personal gain. So how do you sell a customer's car visiting the dealership yet I never signed anything. I'm just destroyed knowing how stupid it all was and still fall under there spell of lies. Unforgivable the fact that it's still happening. ****** military personnel. Sincerely Unhappy Veteran
