I wish I had read more reviews before letting **** into our home. I am a ********* was home alone when he came to do the diagnosis. **** made weird, inappropriate ********************** about my relationship and sexual orientation that made me feel very uncomfortable. At one point he asked if he needed my partner's "approval" to go thru with repairswhy wouldn't I be able to give approval? I'm clearly an adult & the one here to supervise the service. The way he asked just seemed like he was assuming I needed my male partner's approval, which is incredibly sexist. Ironically, he said several times "oh I don't want to assume anything that's why I ask." When I clarified that it was my partner that made the appointment (but that he didn't need to approve) he said he was confused because he thought only "gay people use the term partner" for their significant others. !! So many things are wrong about that statement. My response at the time was to ignore it & wait for him to get out of my apartment since I didn't want a confrontation while I was alone. But later when speaking with my **************** I realized it gave me the ick & in addition to that, he was probably scamming us. He only spent 10 minutes "diagnosing" the issue on our washer, and told me it would cost $378 for a simple door latch repair, but first he needed to order the part & said he would come back to fix. I should've never agreed to pay up front (just wanted him to leave so I didn't press the ****** ***** now demanding a refund. I'm reading reviews that he'll never respond after taking your ********** won't come back to do the repair. I do not want him coming back to do the repair at all, & if he doesn't give us a full refund, we will be pursuing recourse through other means. The dispatch staff are incredibly rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional. They even hung up on us when trying to clarify our appointment time. We're extremely dissatisfied to say the least & I cannot warn you enough to NOT hire him.

I was looking for someone to repair my outdoor propane heaters. They responded quickly and came out the same day. Charged $70 per heater for diagnostics which would later be applied to my repairs. The technician said I just needed New Thermo couples in each of them and one needed a new k*** Simple - should be fairly cost effective. Then it all went downhill. The company texted me that they needed the proof of purchase to do anything. I explained that I didn't have receipts for my heaters as I had them several years. They asked again - I answered. This went on for over 2 weeks - they would not answer the phone. Only text which was proving useless. I sent them photos of the detail on my heater including serial numbers and maker. They then responded with a quote of $1100 if I went out an purchased the parts myself. Please note that thermo couples can be purchased directly through the manufacturer for $37 each. I am mad at myself for not doing more due diligence before hiring them!

Prompt, on time, and diligent. ************* ordered a part, it arrived earlier than expected and was fast in finishing the repair.

Horrible excuse for a business. Tried to charge $345 for a part that cost $35. Does not honor their satisfaction guarantee. If he needs my service fee that bad- its a shame. Should have taken him to small claims court. On top of everything, the part he was attempting to charge for was not even the issue. In my opinion stay away and hope people read up on this guy and his bad business practices

Buyer beware! ******************* of Austonian Appliance is a smooth talking con man. I fell for it. Don't use!!! He is a ***** and actually not skilled for appliance repair. Cost me $$$$. His "so called repair" resulted in additional damage to our refrigerator and voided the manufacturer's warranty on the compressor. He is not certified to work on ** or Kenmore appliances, and possibly other brands. He only responds through canned text messages and does not return your call. Angie's **** recommended him, and I thought they vetted all of their vendors. They do not! Any vendor can register to receive referrals from Angie's ****. Don't make the same mistake I did!
