This company tried to collect $1,289.00 from me by quoting false repairs that were not needed at all. I am including all the details as a warning to anyone looking for an honest review. My thoughtsare, Im glad that there are still companies out there with integrity and who take pride in their work. Airheads HVAC is not one of these companies. I chose Airheads because they had multiple positive reviews, which I now assume cant all be legitimate. My unit was turning on and off repeatedly, so I made a service call. The technician **** told me that my evaporator coil had a leak and needed to be replaced. He stated that with the warranty it would be $1289.00. My entire unit has been recently replaced and is less than 3 years old. We have kept up with the maintenance in every way. After a serious lack of communication with the office (never got a straight answer on time frame, always an I dont know) and sitting with no AC for 3 days I decided to call a different company who informed me that there was no such leak. The only issue was that the unit was overcharged, it just had a little too much Freon. Unit has been performing great since the new company fixed that issue for nothing but their service fee. I waited 2 more weeks after that, and although the unit was performing great, I still had someone else come in and confirm that the unit wasnt leaking. Once again, no leaks ANYWHERE. There is no way that an experienced technician could confuse an over charged unit with needing to replace a leaking evaporator coil. This was done maliciously and with the intent to either collect parts, money, or both. The unprofessionalism on all ends from the office to the technician was unreal.The lack of communication, the lack of transparency was uncalled for. Look at their negative reviews and you will realize this story repeats itself. Do your research and support those mom-and-pop operations that still believe in honest work and integrity.
