      I have been receiving the weekend edition for about 25 years .I have not received a paper since February , I have called 9 times and emailed twice . There hasn't been any response on the emails. Sometimes on the phone calls I leave a message but no response, 3 of the times when I have been able to actually talk to someone they speak very broken English .They always apoligize several times and assure me that the issue will be taken care of but no results . the answering service is located in the *********** and all they do is file a report . One of the times I was able to talk to a supervisor but still without results. This is one of the worst business for customer service I've ever dealt with.

      Called 03/30/21 to renew for one year. Paid $260.00 and was told new end date would be 04/11/23. Checked account online yesterday and end date was showing as 03/23/23. Called 800# and was told the earlier date was correct and was because of “premium editions.” I have no idea what those are nor was I told about them when I called last week. All I was told was that the subscription was good to 04/11/23. So I had to find all this put myself and then cancel the premium editions to have the correct end date of April 11. This is not even considering you don’t get a full year with no paper on 12/24, 12/25, 12/31, or 1/1. I suggest anyone that hints they paid for a full year to check your subscription end date as it is going to be a couple of weeks earlier than you thought.

      We have paid for one year of paper delivery & we have not received a paper in 10 days. We have called customer service every day with no satisfaction

      The subscription price charged to each customer is based on the longevity of that subscriber. My 90 year old Mother who has been a PJS subscriber for over 60 years is charged 1200/ year for seven day/ week delivery. I who have been a subscriber for 40 years am charged 600/year for the same package. I guess their thought process is that if you agreed to pay last years rate, you will pay it again this year with small increase. This is bad business- the rates should be the same for all subscribers regardless of the longevity of your account. Talk about punishing loyalty. Ridiculous!

      I never had a problem receiving my paper until I moved 6 weeks ago. I called to have delivery switched over the day we moved and didn't receive my paper. I called and they said it would be fixed right away. Since then it's been 6 weeks and 8 phone calls and still no delivery. Absolutely unacceptable.

      Have been receiving the Peoria journal star on the weekends for 40 years . We had been faithful and happy customers, however, the delivery service for the last 2 years has been frustrating . We have repeatedly asked to receive the paper in the earlier morning hours, which is not the case, and now the paper carrier refuses to leave it on the porch, even though customer service have asked them to please leave it on our porch.

      My parents have been waiting since April for a refund of $285.55. They were told the check is in the mail and they should receive it in 6 weeks. Two weeks ago they were told they would receive the $285.55 in less than 2 weeks. They never got it. We drove to the Journal Star and no one came to the door. I called from their parking lot and was told no one was there. They all work remotely. We are asking for help from the BBB. No company should be able to treat customers like this and get away with it.
