On **** ** 2023, my neighbor had a ****** truck stuck in their backyard, and they called Underwood’s Towing to get it out. Alex Underwood shows up, in a truck that’s about 10 times bigger than it needs to be, and in the process of him backing into their driveway, (backing towards the passenger side none the less, where your view is obstructed), he allows his front axle to leave the pavement into my grassy area thus making deep ruts as it had been raining for several days. I approached Mr Underwood and pointed this out to him. At that time he stated that I needed to take it up with his customer, I about laughed. I said, nah it’s all you. That’s when he got huffy and started saying I needed to call the county P&Z. “You don’t own that part, the county does, they’re responsible for fixing it”. So after he extracted the ****** and was pulling out of their driveway, he intentionally pulls even farther down in my grass causing even deeper ruts and churning up the ground. After a few choice words he left, and I called the sheriff to make a report. On Feb. 2nd I did call P&Z and explained to them what happened the day before, and they stated that the towing company was indeed responsible, and that I needed to file a police report. I called Underwood towing and told Alex what P&Z had said. Alex said “TELL THEM TO COME GET ME THEN” and slams the phone down. I called the SO and made a follow up report. I have over 25 years experience driving big trucks AND wreckers so I know this could have been accomplished without trashing my yard, had he taken a little more care. Especially when he was leaving. I’m seriously considering taking him to court like the P&Z suggested after the way he acted. Totally unprofessional.
