      I was looking to buy a house I was interested in ******* **** *********** ************ ** *****. I browsed several homes in this subdivision online found several I was interested in so I reached out to the Berkshire Hathaway agent in the subdivision Eric C*******. I spoke to him on the phone telling him I found several I wanted more info on and to look at his response was yeah I’ll send you a video link and then silence… at this point it felt like he wasn’t interested in helping me other than sending me a link via text that I had already seen online. Due to his lack of enthusiasm and lazy effort to help me over the phone after two weeks no follow up no nothing I decided to find another realtor with a pulse unassociated with Berkshire Hathaway an she promptly scheduled showings. I went under contract pending sale of my home putting $3300 due diligence down. Eric contacted me stating to fire my agent and he could get my home financed before the sale of my home if I hired him as double agent. I decided not to. The sale of my home 3 days before closing fell through causing the contract to be canceled. Eric the seller of the home I was buying said the due diligence $3300 will be no refund unless I later buy another home essentially extorting me with my money owed back to me. I would avoid any transactions and business with Eric C******* and Berkshire Hathaway for ethics violations and unfair untrustworthy business transactions. I’m now considering legal counsel and news media to warn the public of this gross unethical behavior. This $3300 will cost the construction company a what was guaranteed cash sale of $326900. I advise everyone to avoid Eric C******* realtor and Berkshire Hathaway. He also told the bank I was working with to not continue approval because the property is unavailable and it is back listed for sale.as retaliation for not hiring him. want my due diligence money returned I honored the contract Berkshire Hathaway and Eric C******* hasn’t.

      Eric C******* is our top selling agent. He is highly ethical and categorically would not do any of these things this reviewer is accusing him. Our brokerage does not engage in dual agency. This means that since this buyer had their own agent, it is up to the agent that he hired to explain the terms of the contract to him before he entered into the agreement. Eric was representing the builder in this transaction. Neither Eric nor the Brokerage kept his construction deposit. We would have to refer him back to his agent to review the terms of the contract he signed.
