After I saw the message was not on the envelopes or anywhere in the package, I called (politely) to inquire what happened. The woman I spoke to claimed she contacted "someone" regarding the issue to inform us that when using a release cage, the butterflies do not come in the same envelopes with written message. She was dismissive, rude, and clearly irritated by what she referred to as my complaining. Given it was my misunderstanding and some misleading directions on the site, all of this would have been fine had she handled it better. Here we are the day before remembering a lost love with a celebration we trusted this company to be a part of, and yet there was no kindness, curtesy, or consideration regarding the difficulties and sadness are such an event. I'm sure the butterflies will be wonderful and beautiful, but I would never recommend using this vendor to anyone for the lack of professionalism, sensitivity, and customer appreciation.

We are very apologetic that you did not receive exactly what you where expecting and cannot apologize enough for that error. We are very grateful that you expressed the butterflies where "wonderful and beautiful" but we are sorry you did not receive the personalized individual envelopes.
We do detail on the package to make sure customers understand that when adding the Display Container that you purchased the butterflies will arrive 2 per transfer envelope to make it easier to transfer the butterflies. The details say "personalize envelopes won't be included". We did a follow up courtesy call to confirm that was okay and unfortunately we did not have your contact information but did communicate this with the persons contact info we did have available to us. We also sent a follow up email to that conversation showing the update of the order without the personalize envelope but unfortunately the email the order was placed under was not your email address so you did not receive the email.
We also try to maintain professionalism and understanding and we're sorry we did not maintain that with you. We where trying to explain we did our best and thought we communicated well. Again I am very appreciative you shared your butterflies where "wonderful and beautiful" and apologize you did not receive the personalize envelopes.
