Had a screen enclosure installed by Sauer and sons. I ordered a custom door. Instead of drilling the proper size holes they drilled 1” holes leaving a hole sticking out the top of the door handle. I sent a number of emails. The were going to send the tech to fix it. That was 2 months ago…. Buyer beware with them.Review from Douglas B

Do not use this company if you want a screen room. We have had nothing but problems since we hired them to build our screen room. It was suppose to be don't by the middle of March 2021. They didn't get it done until July. We had leaks and had to call multiple times before someone FINALLY came out to fix it. It didn't leak for a few months and then started leaking again. We called and after a month of no one calling us back I called again. This time I was leaving a (no so nice) message when someone picked up. She didn't like how I was talking to her, I sounded angry because I was, and told me it had only been 2 weeks since we called. I told her she was a liar and I was calling ********* At that point she let me know I was cussing at her and she isn't a liar. This is a company I will tell people to avoid at all costs. Pay more if necessary but don't call SauerSauer & Sons Construction Inc. Response

Hello Douglas,
I believe we signed a contract with your mother, Romona B******, per your voicemail you left our office yesterday. If this is correct, we have been unaware of any problems, other than the leak your mother recently called us about, since the last calls we received about a leak was August 2021 which were addressed on August 12, 2021 and August 28, 2021. We have not heard from you or your mother since then! When speaking with your mother when she first called in we let her know that we will reach out to her as soon as we have a date our guy can get over there to address her new leak. When our office talked to you yesterday Douglas, the lady in the office informed you that the gentleman that would come back out to address your mothers leak was currently in The Villages/ Lady Lake area and she wasn't sure an exact date they would be out to address this new leak. She also told you that she was going to call her general manager to see if she could get an estimated time frame for you pending the weather we have currently been experiencing these past few weeks. You began to get nasty and talking over her because you did not like what you heard. We have not been able to schedule your mothers service request just yet due to weather and some other unforeseen circumstances which we are working through. You failed to mention in this comment that our staff was trying to explain the procedures to you and this is when you started yelling over her, calling her a liar and telling her what she was telling you was complete ********. She then told you that you did not have to talk to her the way you were and that she was still going to make a few phone calls and see what date she could get for you.
Since you would not allow the young lady in the office to finish explaining this to you before you called her a "*****" and hung up the telephone on her, we like to allow for 24 - 48 hours of absolutely no rain so that between the panels can dry out so we can properly seal them! Not sure if you heard her trying to inform you about this either, but even if your mother calls the day before her warranty ends, we still have to satisfy that request since it was made before her warranty expired.
Please keep in mind that our contract is with Ramona B****** and Sauer and Sons Construction. Therefore, if Ramona would like to contact our office to discuss her repairs, she is more than welcome to! We will not be discussing this matter with you, Douglas, any further due to the way you called and spoke with our staff yesterday regarding this matter.

Since Ramona texted and yes, we have the text to prove it, on the 16th of May to inform your company that the roof was leaking again. your response is a falsehood (we call that a lie where I come from) That is why I called her a liar. She wanted me to believe it had only been 2 weeks sine Ramona contacted .It was right at a month. We will be contacting a lawyer when the warranty expires and the roof is still leaking. AND Ramona is not my mother, she is my significant other. The person that came out the last time it was leaking said he was the owner of the company. and we met face to face. It is obvious that the owner is not involved in this response. My guess is the respondent is the same person I talked with on the phone who wants to tell lies and give false information. deflect and put it off. The respondent to our comments back is not the same person you spoke with over the phone but we did reach out to Ramona ******* directly via a phone conversation. Upon her approval , we sent our general manager out who you previously met with regarding the leak in August 2021 to address the leak in the roof. Service was provided on June 22nd 2022.

I have the same problem with the leaking so called super gutter as the previous review. Also, I was told that an engineer would come back out and remeasure after I signed the contract. That was not done as the drawing submitted to the building department did not include the roof hangover above the stoop. When they got there to install (six weeks later), they had to just cut it off! I figured they knew what they were doing (my bad). I haven't gotten anyone to assess the damage yet so I don't know what if anything can be done. I am quite disappointed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE NOT PROFESSIONALS AT THEIR JOB. I would not give them a single star if that was an option.Sauer & Sons Construction Inc. Response

Hello Brenda,
The previous review is not for a leaking super gutter. We never told you that an engineer would come back out and remeasure after you signed the contract. The drawing that was submitted to the building department, which was approved by them with the plans and zoning department when they issued your permit, shows your 24" overhang where we attached the elite roof to the fascia of your home as required per the Florida building code for this structure. You do not have a super gutter; those are only installed between the home and structure on pool enclosures and birdcages and you have a screen room. It took as long of it did due to the fact, which we inform you of at the time of signing the contract, the engineering, permitting and the delay in materials for the elite panels with the manufacturer. We did not cut off your overhang, we removed a little of the stoop which we had to do to install the screen room. The damage I believe you are referring is the small leak on your elite roof that you called me about just the other day. I informed you that we would call as soon as we could get someone over there. We needed to order another piece of material so the installer could come back out and properly seal it off for you. That material should be in any day now. I stand corrected on the details of the installation. Communication could be improved. It makes one nervous when their calls are basically ignored. I must say that the porch itself is very nice and I am very happy with it.Sauer & Sons Construction Inc. Response

The company performed horribly installing the pool enclosure. Cutting and connecting equipment was done onsight with the following issues: 1. Sharp metal clippings were left in the grass due to not using ground cover for cleanup. 2. Screws were left in the grass due to not using ground cover for cleanup. 3. Screws were dropped and left in the pool. 4. Ladders and other equipment scratched the pool decking. 5. Installation of the super gutter was performed with incompetence. 5a. I had to have payment retracted once due to a lack of customer service after installation. 5b. I had to call multiple times to get someone to fix the leaking super gutter. 5c. I had to call multiple times to get someone to fix the fix to the leaking super gutter. 5d. I had to call multiple times to get someone to fix the fix of the fix to the leaking super gutter. 5e. I am still calling multiple time to get someone to fix the continuous leaking super gutter. 5f. Now that the enclosure warranty has expired, I am having to go through a different company to get the still leaking super gutter fixed and repair the separation of the super gutter from the seamless gutter. 5g. I have called two more times with success in reaching someone, only to not be contacted back in return. DO NOT... I REPEAT... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE NOT PROFESSIONALS AT THEIR JOB. I would not give them a single star if that was an option.
