. Please read all of the complaints and do not do business with this company!! With all of the storms, now is an excellent time to remind people...if you are thinking of getting storm shutters after this, PLEASE stay away from US DISCOUNT SHUTTERS. They have stolen over $12,000 from us, and we are now fighting them to get our money back. It has been well over a year since we paid them, and my last conversation with the owner (Kurt Anthony, "Production Manager") was to speak to his attorney. Doing more research AFTER paying them (I know, stupid), we now know that they have done this to so many people. Please warn your Florida friends and family. They are still in business and will send this nice guy to spend an entire day measuring, take a large deposit, and then disappear. After giving the check, we would call every few weeks for an install date with a different promise each time, and then finally, nothing and no returned calls. We had a thief in our home and around our family, which is terrible!!! We wanted to protect our home when storms came, but we opened the door and let these evil people in instead. They are taking money from families and elderly people! BEWARE. And SHARE SHARE SHARE!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! IT IS A SCAM. Some of the complaints are in the comments. The company did not complete the installation of the shutters in the contract period. I called many times and they always had an excuse. After 4 months and many calls they finished their work. I do not recommend them.
