We have never been treated so horribly at an establishment before ever. It began at checking. My mom, my sister, my niece and I was visiting Daytona for our college homecoming The front desk clerk was acting like she was irritated and she was very rude. Later on I found out her name is Stacy ******* manager. Mom explained to her that we have 2 cars for the room and we need parking decals for both. She said there's one decal per room. My mom said that we need 2. She says there's free parking on the street. My mom said no we would prefer to have a decal so it won't be any problems. She said for another parking pass it's 25.00 a day. My mom told her ok that's fine. She then turned away rudely from my mom and proceeded to talk to another guest. So.. we parked and everything was fine. Fast forward to the next day. We just sat down for the football game and my mom gets a call from the hotel to tell us the car was towed. The first question was why wouldn't you call me to let me know there's a problem because you know we're staying there. You know we from out of town and you know we had a conversation about the 2nd car so if there was any mixup a telephone call would have fixed the problem. Instead you get the car towed. Well.. couldn't really enjoy ourselves after that. After the game we went to the hotel.. everyone at the front desk acting like they don't know anything. The attitude of the clerks even the manager was an "I don't care" attitude and a "oh well" attitude. We felt like it was very vindictive and we felt single out. As my mom explained to the clerk and supervisor on duty that night that she told the lady at the desk that we had another car and to add the 25.00 day. The girl said oh it wasn't in the computer. My mom said that's not my fault the lady didn't put it in the computer. To make matters worst it was a rental car so it could not be released back to us. It had to be released back to **********. This situation made our stay a nightmare

So I just checked into this hotel and no I don't have alot of money but I've stayed in plenty of hotels over the course if my life and this hotel is making me feel like someone is out to sabatoge someone. This place looks like it needs to be pressure washed from the inside out!! It definitely is from a lack of care on the property managers fault. The couch in the room was abhorently disgusting. We immediately requested sheets and blankets to cover it. The extra sheets were covered with long strands of hair and the blankets smelled like they had been washed with my Uncle Bob's monkey suit from he mechanic ship. The mirrors were disgusting the sliding glass door were beginning to mold from the inside. I promise I wanted to go Walmart and get a cleaning kit and go to town on the room BUT seeing how I paid 251 bucks per night....I decided against it. My kids were even concerned when we entered the room. Boardwalk Inn it does not have to be this way and you know it. At this point this unbeatable view and location is not worth it when your customers can't relax in your establishment. Yall dont have anything else going in this hotel. No breakfast bar no bar!! Like the least you can do is excel in room maintenance and upkeep. This could be an exceptional hotel in a prime location but its just in a prime location right now. On a brighter note the AC feels great in this room.
