Unbelievable service and extremely professional! I highly recommend O'Briens for any AC full install to their service plan. Communication is top notch! Buyer Beware- O'Briens AC.  In June we decided to purchase a new unit along with new duct work. We paid $18,800 in cash to O'Briens Quality AC for an entire home AC install. Our house is approximately 1900 sft. He installed a 5 ton system (should've been a 4 ton) with 4 zones (do your research, that doesn't work in such a small home).  It's been over 85 days and still not working correctly. He has been to our home no less than 15-20 times due to leaking vents, extreme humidity levels and the machine not shutting off.  We ended up buying portable dehumidifiers early on hoping to return them since I was looking for humidity levels in the 40's due to severe health condition. Our humidity was in the high 50's and 60's. Matt couldn't figure that out so I decided to call another AC company to take a look. They stated you cannot have four zones on a house this size and recommend taking the zones out (I did) that did bring the humidity down some so I was ok with that but then they shared the install was sloppy. Next, I tried to get him to stop my leaking ducts... he stated I needed insulation. Wrong... I needed to seal my boots to the ceiling so that attic air wouldn't mix with house air and create condensation. I asked him at least 10 times to do this and he said he wouldn't pass inspection which was confusing to me since I called three other ac companies and that's what they do. Therefore, I called Orange County inspector, Ray Pierce and he explained to "yes, he would pass and that's preferred, he choosing not to do it" Right then I knew.. hmm someone isn't honest. Now, I'm looking into everything and what I found was... wet duct work laying on top of each other creating condensation between the ducts leaking all over my ceiling..ducts not sealed allowing air to escape and dirty attic air to get in. Unsealed returns allowing attic debris to get in the house. I'm sharing so no one else goes through this nightmare. I will have to pay at least $9k to reduct, re-do insulation since it's all wet and then pay for 7 vents to be repaired along with entire kitchen ceiling due to water damage and mold growth. All of this was avoidable. This has made me so sick and I'll do anything to keep someone else from going through this. I have photos to back up everything.  I'll be posting in the future on all social media platforms along with all next door locations.

O'Brien's Quality A/C &Construction Inc did do the A/C install for Jennifer ****** and after the install was completed she was demanding to have a 40% humidity level and with a house that is not sealed, that is impossible without a whole house dehumidifier she also had 3 other A/C company's come to her home and changing settings on her A/C system from what I had set it at. By her having other A/C company's work on and change stuff voids her warranty, however I was trying to be the better person. I tried to set the system without the zoning in and she would set the humidity level at 35% and that made the system run 24/7 I told her that can't happen it will cause vents and ducts to sweat that the unit needs to shut off and not run 24/7 when I changed the settings to do that, the grills did not sweat anymore. Jennifer ****** demanded that I reduct her house with R-8 duct work witch is not required by code, R-6 is code but being as cooperative as possible O'Brien's offered to reduct the house with R-8 duct work and had it scheduled for 8/19/21 and while on the way to her home she refused for O'Brien's to do the work and she wanted to use another company and demanded I refund her $9000 and she would handle everything from there and if I didn't she would write bad reviews on everything she could. I offered to refund her the portion of the install for the zoning and that was all I was willing to refund. She also stated she wanted a 5 ton system because she was planning on building an addition to her house and asked if I knew any builders, and I gave her the number to a builder I do work for. I bent over backwards trying to help Jennifer ****** and even spent a whole day at her house with her husband replacing some drywall and adding a attic access to their house. They had mold before I did any work on their house. I did everything I could to accommodate Jennifer and will not tolerate this kind of reviews and slander of my reputation, O'Brien's Quality A/C & Construction Inc. has always been an honest and dependable company and will stay that way.
Now that Jennifer is refusing for O'Brien's to do what is responsible to make her happy O'Brien's is the company with a permit and now she is having other companies work under my permit witch is not only unethical but a crime.
