I would not recommend Dalinghaus Construction to anyone who wants the work to be done professionally. Their work is not guaranteed. Please read "Contract exclusions" very carefully. They safeguard themselves so if they damage your home, they are not responsible. We were unfortunately forced to use them for a chimney repair from the previous owner we bought our home. They damaged our roof and promptly sent over their contract exclusions. Our roof is now leaking after their chimney repair. We were told that they are not responsible since they covered themselves with exclusions. So now we have to spend more money to pay for something that Dalinghaus damaged and isn't going to fix. Avoid them at all costs if you don't want to pay for their shoddy work.

I reached out to Dalinghaus for a quote. I interviewed and obtained 3-4 additional proposals from their competitors. After receiving Dalinghaus's proposal, I spoke with the sales rep (Mark C***) and asked why their proposal was significantly lower (not price). Dalinghaus quoted me 19 piers and their competitors quoted me over 30 piers. Mr. C*** insisted that his competitors were over quoting me and the additional piers were unnecessary. Long story short, we went with Dalinghaus.  Fast forward to construction, everything was going well. But by some miracle, their operations manager (David F.) came by to drop off some tools and noticed that the proposal that was provided by Dalinghaus would not fully stabilize our home. It turns out I needed 15 more piers (34 total-- the same as their competitors). At this point, it feels like a BAIT AND SWITCH. They hooked me in and I had no option but to move forward with the additional piers. Given that this was a major misstep from their sales rep and team that designed this job, I believe we should have been compensated for that. Instead, they billed us an additional $36k. To make matters worse, they acted like they gave us a $3600 discount. This is untrue. Instead of 15 piers, 14 was needed-this is their "discount" of $2400. How can you discount me on something that is not part of the scope of work? In actuality, they only discounted me $1200- which was the "best they could do" according to the owner Brian D*********. $1200 on a $100k+ bill is a slap in the face! Also, I never received one call from Mark C*** regarding this misstep. Cherry on top is that the new work order for the 14 piers did not include backfilling with cement so I have 14 holes at my home (while the other 19 were filled). This must be another generous discount from them. This company does not care about families and the distress they put them through. I have friends and neighbors needing the same work done, I would not recommend this company to anyone I know
