We contracted Rooms N' Covers (also known as RNC) to add upgrade lightings in our family room in 2016. We have paid them in the amount of $35,000.00 at the time. Just a month ago all the lights in our family room went off and cannot be turned on. We called an electrician and he advised that they cannot turn the power back because RNC did not install a circuit breaker for the new outlets they have installed back in 2016. We contacted RNC and told them what the electrician had told us. My daughter ***** spoke with ********, and she told us that it is an extra charge. First, they said that it will cost us $350.00 to install the circuit breaker. Then they said it will cost $1000.00 due to the warranty ran out. The man my daughter spoke with who advised it will cost $1000.00 was very rude and uncooperative. I was very frustrated and didn't know what to do we have not had any power for almost a month in my family room since RNC has been giving us the run arounds. I had my daughter ******* **** helped us on this matter. Upon her review with the contract agreement and Terms & Condition for Rooms N' Covers it stated under the Terms & Condition paragraph 12 ELECTRICAL SERVICE: Unless specifically included herein, electrical work contemplates no change to existing service panel other than the addition of circuit breakers or fuse blocks to distribute electric current to new outlets. Changes to existing wiring in areas undisturbed by altercations are not included. Further all existing electrical wiring systems are assumed to be and represented by Owner as being adequate to carry load imposed by existing work. Any work necessary to correct such existing conditions shall be an Extra and shall be dealt with under the provisions of "Paragraph 10" as above. It is clear on their T&C that the circuit breaker should have been installed at the time of construction which was not. RNC breeched their own T&C and caused a lot of pain and suffering due to their mistake.
