We joined Liberty Health Share in December 2016 and things were pretty good at the start. In 2018 I had a severe health issue and Liberty Helped get through some of it, but some of my things went to collections, and that was hard, but Liberty did help get through that although I had to fight collections with that. After 2018, things took a turn for the worse. Our "shares" continued to go up and so did the AUA. We stuck with it because we were both self employed, but our reimbursements slowed. The biggest issue was in 2021 when anything under $200 was no longer able to be submitted to sharing because it wasn't considered a "True burden". When you have a few kids, $200 adds up for small little doctors bills. Unfortunately, things with CPT codes that are under $200 also are eliminated if they are under $200, and then that racks up as well. So, many of our things were denied. This was not clearly stated and is unfair to members. I don't understand it this other than they misused their funds on Marijuana farms and their own personal gains. In October 2023, my son needed surgery for a tumor. I went through all of the steps for prenotification and was told that I would see a reimbursement quickly. When I was able to get all the paperwork in order to submit to Liberty, they had changed their processor, and now more tax ID information was required. I could get that information, but not in the format that they liked and they started rejected my claims. I was calling back weekly and giving as much information I could with the help of the hospital, and I was told from Liberty's staff that I shouldn't keep calling back. I want this settled. I have already written the Attorney General and will keep at it. I followed all the steps, now they need to follow their promises to their members. I paid my "shares" on time for years.

They call it a backlog but they are not paying for my anesthesia for a procedure. It been two years and I have been sent to collections. We pay $967/month for our family for 8 years. This is more than frustrating.. Based on the reviews below we are not alone... It would be nice if they just that they were not going to pay....

Don’t Join! We did in 2016. In 2021 I had several health issues. They agreed to share three surgeries they have NOT paid 1 dime on! They even settled on amounts, with the Hospital and doctors, they would pay not even 1/2 but never wrote a check! This is December 2023! I have been turned over to 4 collection agency’s that want the full amount not what they settled with LHS! It is approximately $ 95,000 for the year 2021. I checked with them every month in 2022 and about every other month for a while then thought that was why they weren’t paying. When I checked again in early 2023 I got this: LHS says that they are 55% caught up on 2021 backlog BUT said they have continued to pay 2022 - 2023 so they wouldn’t get so backlogged again. Is this fair or legal? The Attorney General of Ohio is asking for comments on them According to the BBB of Ohio. They always have great answers and kind talking people but bottom line is they are not paying! They even recommended that I start paying on these and they would reimburse me. Am l supposed to believe this after 3 years? I am now on SS and Medicare since May of 2022 and my monthly check is less than $1000 even now Dec. 2023! Can anyone help or do something about this? Every time I see a Christian Based Health Care commercial on TV I cringe! I don’t think Christ would be doing this. I even feel bad about writing this review BUT How many more will fall into this PIT! DON’T DO IT I will humbly write an apology for this if LHS would just do what is right.

Don't trust me - read it , investigate - make your own decision. You will see how really bad Liberty Heath share really is.

Submitting medical expenses and keeping track of them can be confusing. However, when I reached out to Liberty Health Share, they were able to answer ALL of my many questions for old and new medical expenses and make necessary corrections. It was an easy-peasy experience!

I could not be happier, Tracy ****** went above and beyond for me & my family. We are preparing for the birth of our first child, Tracy help fast track the process. She was responsive and called me back a couple times to get everything taken care of. She made us feel like we were her number one priority, and worked with me until everything was resolved. Bills can be really stressful and she made it a comfortable & easy process that put our minds at ease.

I never write negative reviews online, but I must add my voice here. I chose Liberty Health Share because I saw it as a better deal than "regular" insurance. HOWEVER, Liberty has taken me to the cleaners and caused me to spend SO MUCH MORE than if I just had gotten the "regular" insurance. I have ended up paying multiple bills out of pocket for 2021 expenses (the last year I was a member), even though I had met my paid-in sharing amount - as they were going to go to collections. I submitted all of these receipts to them and was told I would be reimbursed, but I have yet to see a dime. One of my doctors who billed Liberty directly was kind enough to wait TWO YEARS for payment of his bills by Liberty, and I just recently learned that they had not paid bills from several 2021 dates of service! So, even more bills I had to pay to keep those from going to collections. All the representatives can say is that the submitted expenses have been "processed" - and they are just waiting for the checks to go out. I don't expect I will ever be paid. *I gave them one star because the customer service representatives are cordial and do honestly try to help you with submitting things. But I truly regret having chosen this Health Sharing company. I am thankful I did not have a catastrophic illness or injury during the years I was with them - as the financial burden could have been far worse.

This is the worst product for servicing a hospital debt ever! Liberty will have you in a Bad Debt Collections port folio in a heart beat. Waist of time and money dealing with them. Get Golden Rule Insurance at least they will pay! My wife cancelled them Aug. 30, 2023 after having to repeatedly pay for service they print they will cover to keep out of Collections. I know most people get this junk thinking it would be good in case of a major medical need. Forget it! We cancelled with them still owing us from a service we had to pay for two years ago......They should not use the term Christian in this scam!

My husband passed away in September 2021. Although the customer service employees are very polite, they basically pacify you with their words and no follow through. Not one of my late husbands bills have been paid. The grief of his loss, at the two year mark now, is compounded by being sent to collections this past week. I’m frankly tired of their saying the bills are in the “queue.” I’ve reached out for legal assistance.

We have been with LHS (liberty health share) since 2017. Through Maternity, cancer, and other massive health issues, LHS has been there for us 100%. I dunno where we would be without LHS and I cannot thank them enough for all that they have done for us. If you are looking for a place to help you with your medical needs, I highly recommend LHS> they are kind and caring people who actually take time to address your needs. If all medical help could be like LHS the US would be a better place.
