    I purchased a brand-new 2022 Hyundai Tucson Preferred Trend AWD SUV from Precision Hyundai on August 9, 2022. On Sept 16, at ****km, the engine stalled and would not restart. It had to be towed. The hood could not be closed by the tow truck driver who had to obtain special permission from his supervisor for the vehicle to be towed in that condition. The salesman who had sold it to me tried to close the hood once the vehicle arrived at Precision but was unable to close it. The service person found my hood only latched with the safety latch on Sept 17. He was able to close it but no one has specifically looked at why it was not able to be shut on the 16th. This would prevent me from being able to drive the car safely if it reoccurred.The Hyundai BlueLink app never indicated any problem with the vehicle, even after the diagnostics on Sept 17 and 19 revealed that the GDi (gasoline direct injection) pump had failed. The vehicle had been accelerating poorly in the day or 2 prior to the stall but the self-check system that occurs each time the vehicle starts up did not warn me. Precision didn't have a loaner vehicle for me and they didn't arrange a rental vehicle for me for 5 days. I was stranded at home without a car for that timeframe. I had to complain to the service manager for me to obtain a rental vehicle covered by Hyundai ****** on Wednesday September 21.The upper GDi pump was replaced but then the low pressure fuel tank pump failed. It was replaced but then the car backfired. So the lower GDi pump was then replaced. The oil pan was full of gas so it required an oil change. The gas tank had emptied in the process of the GDi's both failing so I insisted they put some gas in it for it to be able to be driven when I picked it up after 3 weeks in the ********** have trepidation about it breaking down again. The reasons why the GDi pumps and the low pressure fuel gauge failed have not been explained to me. Hyundai ****** has not replied to my emails.

    Comments re: "Hyundai Premium Protection Package"When we bought a 2022 Hyundai Venue Ultimate, we had included in the purchaseprice, the Premium Protection Package. We wanted worry-free total coverage, purchasing the Hyundai Warranty, Premium Protection Package, and the Maintenance Package. The plan was that if a problem occurred, we'd be covered and the dealership would fix the problem.The Premium Protection Package included the "ULTIMATE PLUS paint protection film that will protect the vehicle from rock chips, scuffs and light scratches".ON OUR FIRST ROAD TRIP, we received a small rock chip (0.3cm in diameter) on the hood of the vehicle. We assumed the dealershipwould touch up the tear in the plastic film and apply a coating to protect the hood from possible rust. To our disappointment, we weretold the dealership would not FIX the tear in the film. We were told by the service department, and thedealership manager, that we would have to have a body shop repair the tear in theplasticfilm. We paid for the protection because it was to cover against: Gravel RocksThe brochure claimsthis film has a 10 year comprehensive warranty. Since the dealership applied this special film, if we take our vehicle to a body shop (which the Precision Hyundai service department and Precision Hyundai dealership manager recommended), we would void the 10 year warranty. RIGHT? Should not the dealership take care of replacing the coating that did NOT protect against rock chips?We are seniors and obviously the dealership is hoping we will "GIVE-UP" on further pursuing their responsibilityin fixing this warrantyissue. ARE YOU ABLE TO HELP US? *** and *********************************
